Cotto is one (losing fight) step away from being Ricky Hatton

****ing keyboard hard men Cotto is a true warrior loses 2 fights and now he is finished lol . Margo was getting big props on here from lots of people before the loaded gloves . Mayweather was scared of Margo blah blah blah. Pac is at least P4P no 2 Cotto comes back wins a world title what more can he do?. The disrepect on this site pisses me off. Any body getting in that ring gets props from me.

 

Not if Cotto boxed the way he did against Margo.

The Cotto before the Margo loss still had all of his confidence as well,which is a great boost to a fighters over all performance.

There is a greater gap between hatton and Cotto over all then just a slight difference IMO.Cotto is just a better fighter period.

 

It's hard to say where Rick is at now...his last fight was very short and ended dramatically. They always say you are only as good as your last fight so therefore Ricks last fight vs Miguel's last fight would indicate that Cotto is ahead. Whether that is true or not is left to be seen if Rick decides to continue fighting.

 

Of course....Cotto was at an all time high in terms of his confidence. But let it be known...Miguel was SUPREMELY confident in beating manny. He said that NUMEROUS times and almost down played Manny as having a REAL chance at beating him.

I thnk overall Cotto is better. Based on Career and resume he's also ahead of Ricky. But in terms of who they faught, how dominated as champions they are fairly on the level. With a slight edge to Cotto.

I think you need to read the threads title again.

 

Cotto is a 4 time world titlist in 3 divisions. Comparisons to Ricky Hatton are absurd.

yeah i like hatton and all but he will never be close to what cotto has done. cotto is nowhere near being as washed up as hatton is right now even if cotto loses again .

 

Well,lets face it,Cotto is a confident fighter.

Cotto made acouple of mistakes in the Pacquiao fight,that led to kockdowns.
And personaly,IMO that was because of all of that Manny is the smaller man BS that Roach used for quit some time.They milked that whole Manny is small stuff.Roach used that to get into these fighters heads that were already in heavier divisions then manny.I dont think making Cotto get on the scales at 145lbs for his title helped the cause either.
So when you get a guy like Cotto,who's a very confident fighter,he's in there to show the so called smaller man that your in my division now.
Realy,thats not the case.I said for a long time that Manny could be a welterweight with no problem.He gains the muscle and still has the same body...with just alil more mass.
When watching that fight with Manny and Cotto,did you see much of a physical difference in the two men?IMO barely.

This may be off subject,but i still cant figure out why manny's team made Cotto come down to 145lbs for his title no less.Then one fight after,they fight a guy in Clottey who is known to come in well past the welter limit at 160lbs on fight night.Yet they let Clottey get on the scales at 147lbs.Good strategy from Roach i guess.

 

Cotto is a class above Hatton. Not a good comparison really.
