so the khan fight is now off

    are the haters happy now? he will be fighting next around november time against maidana.

    this would have been the case anyways but people still bitched and moaned that he was taking a tune up fight. so now the fight with maidana will still come off, only we wont see khan fight inbetween. how this is a better alternative i dont know

    A shame, it would have been a treat for him to give us another quick fight, regardless of who it was against. So I guess now it'll mean he'll have only fought twice in 2010 (a total of 12 rounds approximately :verysad), which is not too good considering he's a young 23 year old. A fighter like him, you'd like to to see in the ring at least 3 times a year. At first I critcized their decision to go for Casamayor, but looking at it now, that fight would have been good for him, as well as us fans.

    exactly, the maidana fight was always gonna go ahead, but atleast we will see him in action more often

    I read that Casamayor is already in training for the fight. Does that mean he will face someone else?

    Khan's promoter says Khan is probably going to fight Marquz next, not Maidana.

    no, he said khan wants maidana, but he thinks that if marquez beats diaz, it will be a harder and more lucrative fight.

    but khan and roach want maidan, you would imagine they have some sway over who the next opponent is

    Rest assured Team Khan would rather fight Marquez rather than Maidana. Unless Marquez decides not to sign, Marquez will be Khan's next opponent.

    schaefer obviously prefers it because marquez is a big draw and sells fights. i doubt khan prefers it as marquez has a good chin and can bang.

    the maidana fight will be a walkover. watch the ortiz fight, khan will cut through him like a hot knife through butter

    According to Schaefer, he himself wants JMM assuming he beats Diaz. Roach and Khan however, prefer to go for Maidana. Schaefer's obviously got his business hat on, opting to feed a past-prime legend to his newly found cash-cow. Now this would have been a good fight 1/2 a year ago, but seeing how strong Khan looked against Paulie, I'm not too keen on seeing JMM taking similar sort of punishment.

    Unfortunately if JMM wins impressively against Diaz, it's going to dupe everyone in to thinking he's capable of taking on the bigger, younger, stronger, and faster Khan.

    I wanted to see him fight katsidis to get ready for maidana. But as long as he fights maidana this year then it's all good.

    Hope this fight would be in the undercard of pacquiao fight wether it's against mayweather or margocheato.
