    Not impressed with Paul.

The way i see it. If Your a guy who's changed stance...your footwork ain't gonna be great. So if i'm Paul i'm gonna look to move and create angles and draw Lauri's lead and counter with hard shots. Break him down that way. Not stand in front of him...

Sharp uppercuts and right hands from McCloskey, Lauri giving it a good go but i think Paul is a step a head. He needs to tighten this defence is he want to go onto world level imo.

    Round 4
Bit more movement from Paul, using his jab more. This is working better for him, every so often he throws a left uppercut after a double jab. Works really well. Lauri is tough fella tbf, keeps coming forward. Now they're both back in the trenches, that's when Lauri has most success. Paul could make this **** easy if he wanted, just get on his feet and use his jab. It's when he stands flat footed he gives Lauri a chance.

    3-1 McCloskey

Think McCloskey got the fourth on work-rate, hasn't found the same quality yet though.

He's underestimated Lauri just waiting to blast him out and he clearly expected it to be easy and quick. This is why poor opponents aren't a good thing.

Jim Watt's going a bit overboard, he's getting these rounds in the bank for me. Not his best though.

Round 5 for the Italian, landing much cleaner punches. He's covering up well and it's effective against McCloskey's counter punching style

    Round 5
Nice right hook of the jab for Mc early on. He's getting caught less in the first half of the round. Using his reflexes to avoid punches and then countering. Now they;re trading again. I don't think Lauri's power or strength worries Mc cos he's shipping a lot of punches. This wouldn't wash at world level. Agree with Watt, "he wants to put on a show here" for the fans and is neglecting his boxing because of it. Lauri is very basic, plodding forward but he lands his punches, especially the body shots.

Mc just won that. 4-1 he leads

I like that cross armed defence thing McCloskey does on the inside, not sure what he is trying to do at the minute think he is finding it difficult to lead Lauri into traps and out of his shell.

After This Fight (providing PM Wins which looks likely) Step the guy up. Because he's got that look of a guy who's just going through motions. I can see why Jim's not impressed i was expecting him to put on show. But he seems to wanna just go about work in a different fashion.
