Just shows that you dont know me, you should come on here more. I have been to over 70 live boxing events and am glued to any boxing on tv. So much so that on my recent work trip to sweden for 3 weeks i returned to 30 hours worth of boxing...

I dont lie, i am simply stating that McCloskey has a poor defence, and is 1 dimensional. He has no fanbase outside of northernireland and ireland.

What makes McCloskey more deserving of a shot that Katsidis; whom would sell many tickets and ppv for sure, many people know him and the fight would gain alot of interest, katsidis is a banger aswell.
A shot for maidana; whom is his mandatory and a bangor who has a winner over ortiz and a close sd to kotelnik, the fight woudl sell ppv and would silence doubts about avoiding bangers etc. That is my point, please stick to it... thanks

Witter beat Lauri in 2, Hatton in 5. Hence, didn't go life and death with an old Lauri.

Khan called out JMM before the Prescott loss and he was getting ripped for it. Pretty rediculous.

Kotelnik would beat McCloskey by the way.

Paul would get murdered anyway. I don't think he'd last long.

Agree totally with the undeserved khan shot at title, love the way you say khan gets ko'd as his worst moment. Lennox Lewis got ko'd by rahman, look what he did in the second fight. It woudl be similar if ever khan met Prescott.

Also, thaxton was a brit chamo and euro champ who fought much better opposition than McCloskey, he never got a shot yet he brought a bigger fanbase, and teh fight woudl of made more money...

Look man, I'm not calling you a liar, it's just your criticisms of him would not make any sense if it wasn't for his performance tonight and one or two rounds of his last fight. That's why I made that comment. He just isn't one dimensional.

I wasn't referring to the business (how big of a draw etc to get a shot) side of things. I was referring to the way you have talked about him and his boxing abilities tonight. I personally believe it is premature but I will say that if he fought like he did tonight he would undoubtedly lose against the top dogs.

Brummylad with Khan at the moment no matter what he is not ready for the other world champions be it Bradley or even Maidana who he is avoiding like he did with John Murray and Jon Thaxton during his early years. When he has to fights someone who can bang and take a shot we will see just how good Khan is.
As others say he is a European champion he has the right to call out any champion as he is there on merit. Any European champion is ranked high in most of the World title organisations so sooner or later McCloskey will get his shot. Khan is ideal for Paul and it would sell big numbers a Ireland v England fight.

Limmond vs McCloskey at lw, who you pick? McCloskey for me
Prescott vs McCloskey Lww, who you pick? Prescott by late t/ko or points by 4 or more...

I agree. He has the punch variety and awkwardness to be able to land on Khan, and we all know it only takes one punch...
