juan manuel lopez...on the verge of superstardom...?

    after he gets past concepcion next month (which i believe he will,with a stoppage by the halfway point)i pray that a fight can be made between juanma and one of the other greats in the division - yuriorkis gamboa or caballero.i truly believe my man will overcome these two to become regarded as the best featherweight of his era - a future hall of famer without a doubt.i also like the idea of j.m. moving up to fight the accomplished,heavy handed robert guerrero,perhaps at catchweight,which i'm sure would gel well and be explosive while it lasts...a mini hagler/hearns war springs to mind...on a seperate issue,i hope that we never see the heroic rafael marquez or israel vazquez in the ring again - i believe they've given too much of themselves already and stand to suffer longterm injury if they carry on their ring careers...

    JuanMa vs Marquez is where its at unfortunately. Arum will make Marquez an offer he can't refuse.

    i hope you're wrong...marquez should walk now with his rep intact...how do you see a fight against gamboa/caballero or even guerrero playing out...?

    if marquez is old and shot why he doesnt retire then.. nobody is putting a gun to his head to fight juanma.. you guys act like this is the first time something like this happens... unfortunately that's the nature of boxing.. young fighters look to fight the old ones with a name to make money and a name for themselves.. DLH vs Chavez... trinidad vs camacho... those fights were fights that you knew the outcome before they took place but still they happen

    Personally Gamboa is the class of this division w/ jama in a close 2nd. Arum won't let these 2 superstars fight unfortunatly.

    he is bein protected from Caballero and Gamboa so no he wont be a star anywhere else but PR.

    I think Concepcion has a puncher's chance even how slim it is. He's a young 22 year old with power.
