Paul Smith v George Groves - Who Wins?

Discussion in 'British Boxing Forum' started by GrovesVDegale, Jun 11, 2010.

  1. Magee's pulled out of the Smith fight and so a unification fight with Groves becomes a bigger possibility...

    Who takes it?

Groves easily. Way, way too much class. A load of people are going to come in talking about experience, 12 rounds, etc etc and I understand that but you have one guy that looks special and one that is ordinary.

I really like Smith. He's a nice guy and a solid fighter. For some reason though, he's just not progressed. He shows class every so often, but doesn't work off his jab or go to the body the way he should. He might punch hard, but if he never delivers his shots it doesn't matter.

Groves takes this by actually using his full skillset.

Groves easy for me, a class above Smith, seems like a nice guy and clearly has a big heart but lacks the quality of Groves. Would fancy Groves to grind him down and stop him in the mid-late rounds.

As much as i like smith, George wins this fairly comfortably. Smith lost his way, he used to have an evil jab, not any more and it was his best weapon, Groves grinds him down and stops him late.

When is Groves gonna beat that wanker DeGale.

I hope that fight is made before Smith. I don't want to see Smith get a hiding. De Gale getting a beat down, on the other hand, would be swell.
