Kirkland will be released from prison soon enough, and its been said that he wants to continue his boxing career.
Can Cotto stop the unstoppable train that is Kirkland at 154?

    I think not.

...It won't. Rats is right, mate. Foreman marked up Cotto's crappy skin. JK would brutalize him into a bloody mess.

Cotto by KO...:smoke Honestly I can't believe the hype being sent to the clink can get you. James is a good prospect. But the guy is limited in his skills and ability. the potential is there but with Wolfe he's about as far as he can go. Cotto would outclass the kid right now. Sure James would be bigger, stronger ect but he can't mate Miguels skills, experience and ability. The polls are pretty sad.

Cotto was an elite fighter just a year ago and now he is shite?

This is an awesome match up that will insure fireworks, I would favor Kirkland based on size, but Cottos experience and accuracy would be a huge factor

Kirkland is a nobody. Cotto will only fight the big names

Well if this is going to be Kirkland's first fight out of jail, then he's going to get his ass kicked. Idk, I still don't see him beating Cotto though. He still needed some more time to mature in the ring.

...When the hell did I say that, Goose? :huh His skin is ****. He isn't. He's a bleeder with significant scar tissue. He's had a lot of damage done, this isn't news, is it? You put him in with a guy that can take his punches (Took Julio's) and is a pressure fighter with power in both hands and tell me we're not going to see him open up and bleed all over the ****ing place. He'll be a mess, I'm sorry. I've been following Cotto for years and have always liked the guy but this isn't rocket science. Cotto would have to be pitch-perfect defensively to survive the distance with Kirkland and also pitch-perfect offensively to do it survive and win (If Kirkland is still what he was). At this stage of his career, after 17 world title fights, in his third weight class, do you feel he is that kind of fighter? For all I like him and would wish that for him, I don't feel that at all. Anyway, please don't put words in my mouth, thanks.

Kirkland could mark Cotto up bad but he can also be outboxed because he is limited as ****. You'd have to make Kirkland the favorite because of his size. Cotto really doesn't belong at 154.
