This guy is super talented. Triple jab, two consecutive left hooks and he was mixing uppercuts in there later on. Blew away a decent fighter in one round. ...Very good fighter, looked the real deal to me. Fast hands, combination's, and heavy, heavy hands. I'm a fan. :good Lovely technique.
This guy's only flaw is his Ricky Hatton-esque reach, but that doesn't seems to mean a damn thing so far. I suppose though a very talented boxer with excellent jab could outwork him to decision, but the only guy at MW who could do that is planning to go back to light middle anyway.
Russ Anber has been training this guy since he's a little kid. Youtube it and you can see instructional videos with Lemieux when he was like 15.
I like what I see but I still wanna see him in a tough fight against a good fighter before I jump onboard.
He's beautiful to watch. It's early to tell how good he will be but the guy triples up on hooks, throws uppercuts, and seems to throw every single punch like he's trying to knock you out. ...I'm a fan, first time I've been really excited about a fighter..in a while.
No disrespect to Ayala, but Lemieux is already top5 of the division, I dont understand what they are waiting for...
Forces Smichet into retirement in a two round blow out and then does in one round what it took Arthur Abraham to do in twelve. Hell of an introduction to the masses.
Lemieux has a great fan pleasing style. If he's match correctly he could become a star. But he also obviously has some flaws. Which could be a problem against a skilled opponent that isn't intimidated by his power. I'd love to see him against the winner/loser of Chavez-Duddy.
Lovin how he doubled up the left hook! But ya, still need to see him against a better fighter as well...
Very impressive, he looked real good, however Elvin Ayala is no top 10 fighter. Lemieux needs to work on his head movement and he should be a world champion.
Yes! Him against Duddy would just be fun to watch, and it wouldn't upset me if either won. Him against Chavez would be a slaughter, and it would be sweet. :firedevi:
Craig McEwan would be ideal to see what he is really about. Someone who can bounce around and isn't flat footed would be a great test to see just how good he will become. I still think he could be undone by a super slick counter puncher with great footwork BUT he could KO anyone with one punch and I wouldn't rule him out. He is a tough ****er.
He's 21 years old...he's still going to improve. From what I've seen, Lemieux would **** Duddy's **** up.
