    Class nights boxing.

Frampton really does look a bit special I can understand what the hype is about - he has something special.

McCloskey admitted that he shouldnt have got dragged into Lauri's fight - but he delivered an explosive KO - the place went mad

Conlan was excellent too, Murray too, Healy dominated and won his fight.....

I liked garcia. The boy can hit. Didnt think he was gona get the stoppage after a few rounds had passed. Conlan was nervy the 1st round but got better as the fight went on and it was a pity it only was 4 rounds. Haughian was awful, I had him 97-93 down. Dudey got dragged into a messy fight and should have jabbed and picked his shots better instead of standing toe-to-toe in a brawl. Although when lauri went down in the 2nd I thought it wouldnt go much further. Still, it was nice to see him banjo the ****er!

Just sent my e-mail to RTE criticising Marty Morrissey's commentary.

I'm tempted to set up a Facebook group "Keep Marty Morrissey away from boxing on RTE".

    Would anyone here join?

Luckily I timed it well, I was out drinking so I only had to put up with about a minute or two of ol Marty's "Are you here to see Andy Lee fight" stuff. It will be embarrassing if he gets a world title and people around the world see that monster with the microphone talking garbage in The Point or Thomond Park.

Good enough night with the McCloskey win despite the slightly under par performance. Thought he had a couple of really strong rounds that he never built on. Got the job done, though, so you can ask no more. He needs to keep more active though.

Haughian was second best to McIntrye who looked two weight classes bigger than him. Hard choices ahead for the lad I reckon.

Murray just pummelled the **** he was fighting into submission. He couldn't miss the body shots. Bang, bang, bang, your man just started to wilt and the ref did him a favour jumping in.

As for the invincible, irrepressible, future hall of famer and P4P #1. He was shite

No of course not. Very good performance. I'm writing up a report for Paddys site so I won't get too in depth with my fantastical appraisal of the whole thing. He looked good and strong and quicker than I expected. The counter punching was lovely too. I just hope Barry gets him out again soon. Top quality sparring is great and all but its more time in live fights that will make the difference.

Bailey was a tough **** I have to admit. Just the kind of fight needed for Carlos. He hit him with some big shots in the last round and bounced him around the place a bit but fair play to the boy he stood and took them.

However, as good as Carlos looked on the night he still wasn't the best looking Frampton there :smooch Those t-shirts the girls had on were very good :deal

Well lads dying with a hangover but well worth it thought it was a good night of boxing, was really impressed by all the Irish lads Murray looked great non stop pressure,(bet the guy who made the poster for the cork show will be a happy man). Healy was surprisingly good outworked and outhussled the scotch guy.
Carlos put on a fine display of counter-punching and speed showed a different side to him last night bailey was the perfect oppenent. Conlan was class boxed very well picking his shots nice body shots looked very professional. Haughian was terrible very slow and ardy is right looked like a diversion or below.
Wasnt the best mccloskey last night but it made an exciting fight and the punch was amazing DONT think a world title should be next but should be soon.
