Paul McCloskey has a cheek calling Khan out!!!

Very harsh calling McCloskey a C Rated fighter Brummy lad. What about his wins over Manuel Garnica and the likes. You claim you based it on 7 defences, I doubt it very much, don't disregard solid wins against good fighters for your own agenda? Amir Khan and the rest of the 'elite' fighters have looked very average on occasion as you are well aware, don't have too high a threshold for fighters all the time.

I also dislike the title of your thread claiming McCloskey has 'the cheek' to call out Amir Khan. I'm sorry but is that not what the whole Brit forum has been slating Amir Khan for? Calling out other pro's who they believe are above him. At the end of the day McCloskey is a 'professional' boxer, this is his living, he is in the same weight class as Khan and is European Champ, of course he is going to call Khan out after a win, wake up!

McCloskey didn't fight the right game plan tonight, that can happen to any fighter, I'm sure he will raise his game when needed, and in the spells when he did he looked fantastic.

 

Agreed, McCloskey was sucked into a war with Lauri. Lauri really got to him with all the yapping to the ref and holding he was doing. The place erupted when dudey caught him. Think he can give a better account of himself when not fighting that sort of a fight...

It's such a shame that the lasting memory of Witter will be of his efforts against Judah, Bradley & Alexander. As others have said he was kept at Euro level for far, far to long.

 

The thought went throughmy head last night watching the fight. Khan would spark him out in 2 rounds. He is very average. Carryiong to much weight as well and could probably fight 2 divisions below.

 

He's an average fighter who Sky like and draws a good crowd. That equates to being world class these days.

Don't see a lot wrong with what he's done to be honest.

He's called Khan out cus he thinks he can beat him.

He knew he wasn't at that level last night and when asked about a World Title shot he was respectful enough to say that on that performance he needs to stay at Euro level a little longer.

I thought he come across particularly well.

People call out Con because they know Con is one of the worst world champions right now and has been superbly matched since Prescott to dupe the public into believing he's some sort of P4P superstar.

He is severely overrated and his egg chin is always going to make people want to fight him - they get a big pay day because of the mug public and a very good chance of brutally rendering him unconscious and winning a world title. Of course people are calling out Con.
