I saw no reason at the time why he could'nt beat Hagler but the problem Alan had & always had is that he instinctivly wants too scrap & no one really knew much about Hagler & hindsite's fine for pricks like the threadstarter but on the day is another matter. It's a pity that Minter got robbed against Hamsho in the illiminator as he'd have given Marvin a tougher fight next time around IMO.
