:patsch are you trying to tell me that Mayweather DIDN'T try to knock Marquez out?

this is the problem with Floyd. He's a great fighter but he's overrated cause he gets credit for things that aren't even true.

Mosley, Marquez and Zab Judah would have been knocked out if he kicked it up a notch.

Floyd is happy to let his defense and ring generalship sweep the last 2-3 rounds. By then the opposition is so neutralized that they're no longer a threat. He doesn't have to be so offensive anymoar.

Mayweather doesn't really go after his man, once they are in a shell, Judah/Oscar/Mosley/Marquez all stopped taking chances hence they were harder to stop. Mayweather just isn't walking down the best fighters and throwing combinations. He could go after guys at 130 because he threw combos, he no longer does that. Mayweather could have got hurt himself if he took too many chances at 147-154 though

Against Mosley though he was amping it up and trying to get the stoppage much more than usual

I had a bet on Mayweather stopping Marquez that night and I can remember feeling frustrated that he didn't up the pressure and try to finish him.

Which round are you thinking of when Mayweather upped the pressure and went to try and finish him?

This thread makes it hard to decide whether to bet on Floyd by KO or decision when he fights pac. If pac wants to die a hero then he's going to get KO'ed, but he might just freeze up and go into a shell like everyone else...

If you had a bet on Maywaether stopping Marquz that night then that's just wasted money.

Here's Mayweather himself saying that he tried to finish Marquez but just wasn't good enough to do it. Its the same thing with Mosley. If Mayweather could have finished Marquez, Mosley, or any other guy who went the distance with him, he would have.

So like I said, Floyd gets alot of credit for things that aren't true. For things that he is perceived to be able to do, but that in reality, he isn't.

On the flip side a guy with a style like Pac's gets alot of doubters for things he is perceived to be unable to do, but that in reality, he can do it.

nah he didnt he tried to ko him 2 rounds but backed off because JMM is probally the only person that didnt get demorilized by the assault.

Marquez was a live dog, Floyd went in and Marquez threw a 4 punch combo. None landed because floyd got F out there but, He never went back in there and just decided to slowley pull wings off a butterfly.
Mayweather arms are way to long for Marquez he could do nothing but stand there and take punch after punch, when the leaping left hook came floyd footwork is too fast for a counter floyd never stayed in for a ko
aslong as your alive hes not going in, mosley he just waited to long to open up
he needs work on more output by learning how to reset his D after he throws his right

he doesn't defy logic, just that most people's logic is wrong.

Did you see the video where Mayweather said he tried to knock out Marquez or not?

hey you know what I'm sorry to **** on y'all Floyd nuthuggers' parade with this hard dose of reality.

    You guys are right.

Floyd could have knocked out Mosley, Marquez, Oscar, Castillo, Baldomir, Judah, and will knock out Pacquiao if he wants to and if he doesn't get the knock out then its not cause he isn't good enough to do it, its because he doesn't want to.

Void is void. Void also said he could have knocked out Mosley if he wanted. Void says a lot of things.

Void will KO the pac though.
