If he pressed action more than he usually does, he'd have a good chance of gettng KO'ed himself, which is why he doesn't.
i dont mean in every single fight...i mean in fights where you saw that maybe he could've....for example, i said mosley and gave my reason why :good
Against Mosley, Floyd used superior speed and reflexes along with skill to hit while NOT getting hit in return. Mosley actually was somewhat competitive in the last 2 rounds.
Mayweather could have knocked out Marquez if he pressed. He didn't want to press though. I don't know if it was because he didn't want to open up and get hit. Or if he just knew he had the fight in the bag. I won't say Mayweather didn't want the knock out, but he didn't want it off force. He wanted the knock out off pure skill. Just like he didn't want to beat Marquez by using his size advantage. Pressing Marquez for the knockout would have defeated the purpose of why they were fighting which was for Mayweather to show that he was a smarter and more skilled fighter then Marquez who was considerd the smartest and most skilled fighter in the world after Mayweather retired.
Floyd did go for the KO "late" in the fight...if he would have turned it up like that earlier he would have KO'd JMM.
I think TKO is a better choice of word(s). Judah was on his way to being stopped but the low blow did just what Zab intended for it to do...save his ass! Both Marquez and Mosley could have been stopped but by corner or ref stoppage, not a legit KO. I get what you're saying though.
Mayweather was far from looking for the knockout. Mayweather said he was because if he admits to the public that he wasn't going for the Ko against a guy he was dominating, what do you think that makes him look like. Both Philla and you know that besides the interview, nothing suggest he was going for the KO.
