18 miles of cardio the morning of the weigh in???:nut Are you ****ing kidding me? Who the **** is in charge of his conditioning program? Where did you read this cause if it that's true then that is ****ing absurd. Towards the end of camp you should be reducing cardio/running and yet Pavlic and Jack "double the ****ing jab" Loew are increasing?:huh

That's what happens when you drink during training camp.

The fact is KP did exactly what I said he did on the day of the weigh in, and the day before. That had nothing to do with improper training or nutrition. He could either do the cardio/sauna and bust his ass to make weight, or give up his titles on the scale. Look at the video I posted. That's Pavlik at 180 pounds 2 weeks before the Martinez fight. The kid is a LHW now, and there is nothing to do but move up.

Guess he moves up to 168 (I beleive he said thats what he will do) its going to be difficult for him to win against the likes of Ward, Dirrell, Bute, Froch, Kessler, or Abraham. However he should be able to beat Mundine, Andrade, Bika, or Miranda again.

So where did you get this from? Any source?

Nevertheless it is obvious Pavlik got trouble making the weight. But do we really want to use that as an excuse?

I know Bute is at 180 2 weeks before a fight. Pavlik would already be a big SMW.

We agree once again my Canadian friend.

The kind of shedding that Pavlik had to do to make was 160 would suck the strngth out of anyone. It's not an excuse, because if that's what you need to do to make the weight, then you do it, or don't fight there.

In 2003 - 2005 Kelly fought 12 times. All but 2 of those fights took place above 160. In July 2006, after the McKart fight, KP sounded down right desperate in the post fight interview. He made it clear that if Jermain wouldn't fight very soon, he'd have to move up. The evidence that he was serious lies in the fact that his next fight was at a catch weight above 160.

The title eliminator with Zertuche came up, and Pav had a great 2007. In 2008 he fought 3 times, but only one of those fights took place at 160. In 2009 the staph infection caused a 9 month lay off, and Pavlik's normal walking around weight went from about 175 to about 190.

After the Martinez fight Kelly took one week off, and had to bust his ass to stay under 180. When Team Pavlik made the decision to move up Pav told Cameron Dunkin, "I wish I would have said something 5 fights ago."

Jack Loew "I expect 2009 and onwards to be great years from us. From here on in we are going to be at our natural weight - middleweight.

"He's staying at middleweight, and that's the bottom-line. No more super middle, forget chasing the money, he's (Kelly) a legitimate middleweight. Hopkins was big in there, we're ususally the dominant person in there. We're going back to middleweight, and we're staying there."

What did you learn? (post Hopkins)

"Stay at middleweight, this kid is staying at middleweight. We have to stay at middleweight."
