Embellish much? If I recall this forum was split both ways almost exactly down the middle, and personally I was one of the many who said that Lacy was neither experienced enough nor talented enough to head to Wales and win a big fight over there.

oh brother, i remember coming on here i think spring of 07 and calling calzaghe a ***** for faking another hand injury to avoid the monster that was lacy. this forum was lacy mania. marvin hagler put him in his top 10 p4p! **** we were wrong
well, to each his own but yeah i remember it being pretty anti-calzaghe. and i'll be the first to admit part of it was ignorance: calzaghe was another ottke to a lot of us. we didn't know him and couldn't be bothered to get to know him. watch a highlight reel, check out boxrec and make our pick. i don't think much of calzaghe now all time but i've a lot more respect for him and his accomplishments now that i did then for sure.
