teddy's awesome. going through his book now. his predictions are ****, true. but he was a great trainer in his day and probably the most vocal and passionate ambassador of the sport we've got. he speaks his mind, always cares about the fighters, and as espn posted calls the opening fights as carefully and enthusiastically as the main event

I think people miss the boat on Roach and his predictions. It's not a bloody coincidence that he picks the underdog in every fight...he's become a parody of himself. He does it for comedy value half the time. Passionate guy, one of my favorite commentators in the sport. :good

and one of the craziest and toughest dudes you ever want to meet on the streets. You really think that Scarface Teddy would punk Tyson out on the streets:lol:

Atlas should've fought tyson like a man instead of pulling a gun. He would've probably been beaten into a vegetable but it would have been the right thing to do.

Tell me why Tyson is mentally fragile when he became world champ at 20 years old? You cant do that when your mentally weak or whatever!

You think either Teddy or Mike needs to punk someone out on the streets?

Teddy is going to stick a gun in your face and that's it, he doesn't play around.. in fact, he writes in his book he was close to killing Donny Lalonde at one point.

Wouldn't say Teddy punks Mike Tyson, but I wouldn't bet on Mike punking him either.

Judging from the "Tyson" documentary, I don't think Mike is too concerned with anyone from his past including Teddy. Mike just wants to go forward and live his life in peace.

Teddy pulled a gun on Mike because he touched his niece. But he also pulled a gun on him because if he would have tried to fight him, Tyson would have broken him apart. But honestly did Teddy think Cus wouldn't fire him if he pulled the gun on Mike. It was understandable why he pulled the gun on him, but he had to have known that would be it, if he did. IMO they both should just apoligize for what they both did and continue to get on with their lives. I personally think Tyson doesn't really care much about Atlas these day's. He never even mentions him. Atlas on the hand is obsessed with Tyson, he mentions Tyson all the time on Friday Night Fight's for example. He won't talk to him but he'll continue to talk and act like Tyson is a terrible person and he got away with everything. Tyson paid for everything he did and should be able to continue to have the chance to get his life together.

Yeah, many people don't know Teddy's background. Despite having a well-to-do father, he did some hard time as a youngster. By hard time, I mean prison...not jail...big difference. Trust me, Atlas isn't scared of much...Plus, if you research what the source of the conflict was, I wouldn't forgive Tyson either...

I'll say it again...please look up Teddy's background...he wasn't scared to fight Tyson, he did what any steet-smart individual with his background would do in that situation...given the size difference...
