1. Hagler 2. Hearns 3. Benitez 4. Duran ...Revisionist history has unfortunately made people forget just how great the Hagler win really was. Inactive, never fought up at 160lbs, Hagler was FAR from shot like people would have you believe, and Leonard went in there and won legitimately. I had it 7-5.
I'd rather not acknowledge the Hearns fight. Even though I'm a Sugar Ray fan by default since he's from Maryland, I still never wanted to watch Hearns lose.
leonard is one of my all time favorites. i'd hate to be the guy to be too philosophical but there are just some things you can't rate.
Like I said, revisionist history. Rubbish aboout the ring size, the 12 round limit. Doesn't matter. Leonard hadn't fought in three years, and he was supposed to come in and fight at Middleweight and beat Hagler, who hadn't lost for like 11 years? ...The odds were lopsided in Hagler's favor at the time, and only now in hindsight do we have ***ots like Red Rooster saying Hagler was shot, and he was actually hindered by being so active. ...Bull****.
