who wins?..id say chuck..and that says alot about titto being bad then chuck being any good. i think chuck is washed up now for sure.,
Why? Ortiz fought very gamely against both Griffin and Machida, holding the former to a split decision and having a couple of moments against a prime Dragon despite being shut out; which is better than anything Liddell's done lately. I say book the fight now, and let Tito swoop in like a vulture and have his revenge. :deal
i dident think titto looked good against griffin..he did look good against machida in a lossing effort..i guess we will not see this fight now..not in the ufc..but you never know..
Chuck would have won IMO. Chuck has a glass jaw at this stage of his career and his age but Tito is very slow, has no power and doesnt have the confidence to strike with Forrest Griffin let alone a guy whos sparked him twice. Tito only has a double leg and elbows and one thing Chuck did display tonight was he can still wrestle. Probably for the best it was Rich who stepped in vs Chuck tonight. Had Chuck fought and beat Tito he might have got KOed in his next fight but since he beat Tito beforehand he would likely be allowed another fight and get stopped yet agian.
Which is fine considering we didnt need a 3rd fight anyway consider how easily Chuck beat him at better stages of their careers. Chuck KOed Tito when Tito had just finally lost the title and then after Tito won 5 consecutive fights. Fighting each other now would be like Tyson and Holyfield doing it one more time.
However, if Rafael Marquez can cheat his way into balancing the scales by exploiting the fans and the drawing power of his and his rival's names to get a 4th fight after everybody agreed Vazquez should have called it a day - why can't Tito do the same, and catch Chuck on his way out? And if the fans buy tickets and actually tune in for the circus that this fight would be (and Tito wins) - why not do it again to let him even the score? And then a rubbermatch to break the tie! It's not quite the same as Tyson-Holyfield - it'd be more like Vazquez-Marquez IV, IMO.
:-( No dude Marquez already held a win over Vazquez and in the rematches lost on a early stoppage and close decision. What reason is their for Tito to fight Chuck agian. It was only happening because Chuck begged Dana to fight agian and Dana figured this was the best thing to do put them on TUF and let Chuck fight a non striker whos been KOed by Chuck 2x. Now obviously Dana couldnt just go back on his word and yank Chuck when Tito pulled out.
Chuck would of beat him slowly on the feet and forced a stoppage in 3 or 2 , maybe 1 if he hurt him early enough , he would of fought again and got KO'd (if it would of been against a genuine contender @205) and Tito may of been looking at his last fight too !!!!!!
I want Marquez-Vazquez V :yep Could we just end the Celtic-Lakers series right now at 2-2 ? **** no. Same thing here we need to establish a real winner. Just no 7 fight series please no.
