So why did Hagler retire after the fight? Hagler's speed at that stage of his career was notably slower than it was even 4 years prior. Hell, SRL himself said that after seeing how Hagler looked against Mugabe that he felt confident he could take him. I'll bet SRL didn't feel that way in 1982.
In terms of legacy enhancing fights those 4 or a lock, although I would have no problem if the order was rearanged! As far as his best performances or IMHO best wins: 1. Hearns I 2. Benitez 3. Kalule 4. Mayweather
