Huck is staying very active, putting the "one fight a year" cruiserweights to shame. I think Godfrey could cause him a few problems actually, it's a reasonably good matchup.

Damn Huck isn't ****ing around with staying active.

More fighters should take a page out of his book when it comes to activity. As long as you come prepared for every fight you shouldnt be afraid to lose your ranking. (I know that mindset is easier said than done) Sure he isn't fighting A+ fighters every time but it's not like he avoids good fighters.

And I think this will be a interesting. Godfrey is no Minto so expect this one to be a little more competitive than normal for Huck. Either way I think late in the fight Huck will break Godrey down for a tko around the 10th.

I think most fighters would like too fight as much as Huck does, or many at least, but they don't get the opportunity. The promoters in Germany know how to keep their guys active, probably in large part because unlike their American counterparts they don't have to compete for tv-dates.

Cunningham was only getting one fight a year because of Don King. It sounds like he wanted to be much more active but his former management didn't make that possible.

The promoters needed to combine more fights in America. With 17 weight classes and something like a million belts, every day of the year could be filled with a fight for a belt or an eliminator. It really has gotten out of hand.

Godfrey will be the 3rd The Ring ranked CW opponent for Huck in 12 months, and actually the 5th opponent in 365 days. I wouldn't say champion Ramirez and interim champ Afolabi were easy wins at all and this one could be interesting as well.

I'm not entirely sure why is he fighting so often though. He should rather wait for the Sauerlands to put the Super Six together.

Huck is being really, really active. Good for him I say, the cruiserweights have a tendency to fight once a year and Guillermo Jones has yet to return from a 2 year siesta after winning a title.

This is gonna be a good fight I think.

good luck to my fellow rhode islander matt "too smooth" godfrey...it would be nice to see one of these guys, godfrey or estrada, get at least one good win under their belt in their career...instead of just being a decent test and good opponent

Props to Huck. This will have been his 11th fight since Cunningham dismantled him 2 and a half years ago- nothing helps a fighter bounce back from a loss like staying active and winning, and that's just what he's been doing.

To put it in perspective, since Huck-Cunningham, Steve Cunningham, Matt Godfrey, BJ Flores, and Guillermo Jones only have 13 fights combined (soon to be 14). Take Godfrey out of the equation and that number drops to 8.
