I know Adamek is a cruiser now, but I'd be curious to hear thoughts on this fight.

Calzaghe fighting a random guy off the street would probably be as contested.

Adamek is a cheap Kessler clone.

    Calzaghe by KO

I'd like to see how Joe handles the weight first, that 7 lbs made a world of difference for various talents, including Roy Jones, who suddenly stopped knocking people out at 175 (way more TKOs/UDs after he moved up, plus he was hurt bad).

Adamek has a bigger chance then Kessler for sure, simply because he has the equalizer, whereas Kessler does not have the guns to put Calzaghe down.

Calzaghe's southpaw stance and speed may trouble Adamek the same way that Dawson's did, however (even though Tomasz was weight drained in that fight).

To me, Calzaghe and Dawson are worlds apart. I don't envision Adamek having any problems whatever with Joe's work rate, being Adamek himself is a very busy fighter. Adamek also throws better combination, and packs a much bigger punch.

Frankly, everything Joe does, Adamek does better.

But what do I know? I think Old Man Hopkins would beat'em both!

    ;)

I love Adamek but Calzaghe boxes circles around him. I think Kessler is better then Adamek.

The only thing that Adamek is better than Joe at is losing to American hype-jobs.

I don't see what Adamek can do to beat Calzaghe, he already showed that his skills are limited against Dawson.

Calzaghe? Adamek in LHW had 2 very close fights with Briggs. On one hand those fights were really entertaining, but on the other hand they looked a little like Gatti-Ward I: a lot of heart and great stamina... plus no defence and not much strategy either (at least no strategy by Adamek).

If he was taking almost every right hand his opponent has thrown, and barely won close decision over slow Briggs I don't think he is able to win more than 2-3 rounds with Calzaghe. Sure, he has some puncher chance, but I wouldn't overestimate it either.
