Should Margarito be allowed in the Hall of fame after getting caught cheating?

Margarito didnt have a Hall of Fame career to begin with so how can one put him in there after the wraps scandal is beyond me...The TS is clearly a stan of this cheater Margarito!

Margarito's accomplishments do not warrant a trip to the Hall of Fame. If they did, however, the answer would be yes. Margarito was caught attempting to cheat, given a punishment and served that punishment. While it's understandable how Margarito is still a subject of ridicule, the crime is done and overwith. Furthermore, there is no definitive proof that Margarito attempted to cheat in fights outside of the Mosely one. Just because an individual tries to cheat once, that does not mean they will try to cheat twice. Furthermore, most of you assume that there was some kind of calculated logic behind the cheating attempt, when the action in itself is illogical. Margarito won't get into the Hall of Fame because his resume doesn't justify membership, not because he is a so-called "cheater."

 

He'd have to actually get credit for doing it in order to make the Hall because he wasn't going to in the first place.

Let's say he was a HOF caliber fighter though...the debate would get real interesting because a good contingent of Hall of Famers over the last 20 years tested positive for banned substances. If you keep a guy who got caught before the fight with loaded gloves out, would Roy Jones, Holyfield, Mosley, or Toney not get in either since they got to fight with their advantages? That's actually a pretty good debate.

 

dont get your panties in a bunch. margos wraps were checked in vegas before the cotto fight so i dont know what your talking about. i guess mosley and trinidad shouldnt have a chance of being hall of famers either.

Hell no. He doesn't deserve ANY award regarding the sport. The sport has enough terrible examples and situations to start awarding cheating scumbags like this. His record and fighting ability is beyond garbage as well, why would they get him in the hall of fame?, for making a career calling out anyone half his size unless forced otherwise?
