Why can't a line be drawn under the 'concrete gloves' scandal?

    • Margarito suffered from a severe sprained ankle only a week before the bout, and also had problems with his left shoulder as reported days before the fight.
    • Clottey suffered an injured left hand in round four, probably while landing a left uppercut. He immediately went into retreat and told his corner at the break.

reported this live, explaining why Clottey proceded to lose rounds five through eleven on all three official scorecards.
    • Clottey later admitted his hand was not broken as initially reported.
Clottey won what 4 rounds then thought he broke his hand Margo won

Iron Mike........... Margacheato*** fans won't listen. They still call him a "ring warrior". How many "ring warriors" do you know that load thier wraps to beat a shot old man?? To your point.........YES........it is quite ridiculous to assume that he would use them for a shot old Mosley he was heavily favored to beat and not the dangerous young lion in Cotto. You will never get it in thier skulls. But I wish you luck.

Well if he didn't then I hold my hands up and admit I was wrong.

The point is though, Margarito hardly put a beat down on him of any kind, so he was hardly left overs, and had obtained some very good wins prior to the Cotto fight.

He's weird though Clottey, very lazy and hardly has a warrior mentality.

I agree with the T.S., I do however think Cotto will never forgive himself if he doesnt rematch and OWN his ASS.

Why the extremes Boo? Who says that the NSAC supplied them. It was a knuckle pad smeared with a foreign substance not his entire wrap soaked in plaster. Something like that can easily be overlooked by an commission rep (and obviously was in the Mosley fight)when due diligence isn't applied. Especially if it was pre-treated.

Re-fighting his probable potential murderer would prove nothing for Cotto, and would put money in Margarito's pocket, which is not cool. If he can't be banned, he should just be shunned, because what he did is irredeemable.

I just feel that the boxing world should universally condemn this guy.

Cheating occurs in all sports, but in boxing it is unforgiveable as lives are potentially on the line even without illegal implements.

Do you mean concrete evidence for his cheating in previous fights, or just the Mosley one?

Cotto should rematch Margacheato only if the split is something like 70/30 or 80/20. Pussycheato doesn't deserve a good pay day.

previous he was caught red handed trying to do it but as far as i have seen im not convinced he ever got in the ring wit hwraps i also doubt the commissions would be so inept to let a guy get away wit hwrapping in so many high profile bouts

To be fair one time is enough really. He obviously had every intention of getting in the ring tooled up.

You must have been up in arms when Cotto when straight to the front of the line and got a undeserved shot against Foreman after being destroyed by Pac.

You whining hypocrites take the cake:patsch
