The Crocop vs Pat Barry fight was surprisingly good

  1. yeah, all that touching gloves and hugging in the middle of the fight got a little embarrassing i think.

i take it that Wanderlai won the first fight then?

No it was a draw under special rules. 5 rounds with 3 minute rounds and if it went the distance it would be declared a draw. Wanderlei got the better in the fight though the fights 3-4 rounds he took Cro Cop down and basically controlled him for the entire rounds.

  4. **** it, give Cro Cop a title shot before he bows out I say. Regardless of the outcome.

One of the most entertaining UFC Heavyweght bouts in a while.

I saw that fight, not a bad one... but Cro Cop is clearly past his peak and seems slow. And becoming slow is the worst thing to happen to a stand up fighter. He should just retire or he will get hurt.

Wow sorry, I was probably so ****ed up when I read your post I didn't read it right. Your right, the culture shock must have hindered him.

Watching that fight live was spectacular. Barry looked freagin enormous. You could tell he was slowing down after the first round, I think it's from too much muscles, he looked bigger than pudzianowski. Other than that Mirko is actually way more well rounded and seasoned. He is not the beast he use to be, but if he wants to he can be. Barry missed his chance by giving too much respect. But I also think he was just baffled by the speed. You could tell he wasn't trying to do anything stupid but he felt like crocop ws goin to counter him, which Cro Crop did like almost every single time. Sick fight, I even enjoyed the man-hug. Which is wrong.

I wish they could you can justify him getting a shot but come on over JDS or Cain ? Nope. I say give him soft fights until those other guys get shots :yep CroCop winning that elusive title would be like when Dale Earnhardt finally won the Daytona 500 in Nascar or when Phil Mickelson won a Major after so much time or when John Elway won a Superbowl after 17 years.

It was a great event all around. Best UFC I've seen all year.

Agreed exactly why I was exicted for the card the matchups where made to entertain. Most people shat on the card because the main event featured to older fighters coming off losses. So what I dont turn my back on to classy legends who I knew would entertain and I knew the undercard was sick. Best card IMO since the Nogueira-Couture one that card im suprised nobody left in a bodybag.

Well said. Great card. Props to everyone who didn't **** on it beforehand.

Crocop has to fight couture and nogera. I think he might be able to beat cain but not carwin.

The UFC crowds aren't worthy of him imo. The man never deserved to be boo'ed. Just imagine the welcome someone like Fedor would get if he were to fight Lesnar.

Maybe have the fight somewhere where the crowds show some respect for the fighters, not act like a ******ed mob.

    totally agree..

  14. Don't get me wrong, no way could I see him winning, but I think he's earned the right (in his entire career, not just UFC) to go out on his back against the best.

Plus, while there's still a 1% chance of him kicking Brock or Carwin's head clean off, I'd always root for Cro Cop.
