Martinez deserves a chance to post wins over all of the following: Williams, Margarito, and Cintron. Those three avenging wins and a couple of mandatory middleweight title defenses ought to be enough to secure first-year-eligibility induction to the HOF.
I'm not sure he could have even had he used his more boxing-oriented style. He has clearly lost a sizable step athletically very rapidly, in just a couple of years. He was lucky to land a game-changer on Rojas after getting off to a horrible start, and didn't look like his old self against either Guerrero or Barcelona.
