Steve "USS" Cunningham was losing every round in their world title match in Germany last week. Troy "The Boss" Ross was in complete control, despite clashing heads early in the fight, where Ross showed some puffiness around his left eye.

In the fourth round, the fight started opening up and Ross knocks down Steve Cunningham. It was only 10 seconds later, when a lazy Cunningham punch gouged the right eye of Ross, ending the fight only a minute later.

There definitely has to be a rematch, but it seems like Steve "USS" Cunningham is avoiding Ross and wants nothing to do with him. I can't blame him, but this is not ethical. If this fight took place in the USA, it definitely would have gone to the scorecards and Ross right now would be the current IBF Cruiserweight Champion.

One only has to look at the tapes to see that the punch Cunningham threw only connected with the thumb part of this glove.

Why doesn't the IBF demand a rematch?

Why, I do believe the obligatory "STFU Noob!" is in order here.

I think a rematch is indeed warranted here. I had Ross winning 3 of the 4 rounds, with Cunningham marginally taking the 2nd round. To me, Ross was quicker to the punch than Steve, was more mobile and his punches obviously had a bigger effect. I wouldn't call any of it domination, but I would say that Ross was definitely winning most of the rounds up to that point.

I don't know how the fight would have progressed or whether the punch Cunningham threw was illegal, but I do know that Ross boxed on Cunningham's level. Any fan of boxing should demand a rematch, simply based on the fact that this is likely the most competitive match that can be made at Cruiser today. This has nothing to do with Canada. Ross appears to be the real deal.

Please don't tell me the Canadian fans are becoming as biased and blinded by national pride/insecurity as the Brits. ESB doesn't need another Britain.

Okay Ross wasn't winning every round, but I doubt he'll get a rematch.

    Should NOT be a rematch.

Cunningham has bigger fish to fry in the Super 6 with Huck, Wlodarczyk rematches and possibly Frenkel and whoever else the Germans have lined up

I think there should be a rematch but to act like Ross was dominating is ******ed. He was running the whole fight and the only reason he was in the fight until the KD was because he was trying his best to limit the action and stay away from trouble. He did score a clean knockdown on a squared up Cunningham and I give him credit for that but the shot that tore his eyelid open was a legal punch. Yes it caught him with the thumb, but they are thumbless gloves so thats not Cunninghams fault and its not a foul either. Im more concerned about whe Ross can fight again because that was a pretty damaging injury. It wasnt just a cut, his eyelid was torn and hanging off a little bit.

Sauerland wants to unify the Cruiserweight. There will be a rematch with Huck and this time he will win. The Super-Six is on as well. Thats how the business goes
