I have a funny feeling the winner of this one will be in line for a belt shot. Oh the joy of corrupt sanctioning bodies.

But either way That would be a little crazy is McCall wins this and made his way to a title shot at the age of 45/46 years old. Even with the division as terrible as it is that would still be a respectable feat.

Either way I just can't see McCall beating someone as live as Ibrag at this point.

    Ibragimov UD.

Does anyone think this fight will be in the realm of interesting? Or will lead to any sort of title shot?

Yea, Ill be rooting for McCall too. Im glad that although he is wayyy past it, he has maintained his ability quite well, and looks in good shape when he shows up generally.

It will be interesting to see if McCall can keep a win streak going. I still cant believe at 45 he is still able to be competitive no matter how crappy the division is.

If McCall wins he has to rematch Whitaker off of Whitaker's win and the winner gets to fight John L. Sullivan's corpse for the senior interim silver topaz pacific northwestern WBC title and then, who knows? Did someone say Vitali Klitschko? :yep

It means if you're in the neighborhood of the Seminole Hard Rock Casino on Tuesday night and have nothing better to do, you should spend a night at the fights!

Not really. Both McCall and Ibragimov are solid gatekeepers whho do not possess the resume to be in consideration for a world title fight, or even a significant boost in the rankings. Far lesser fighters have been given HW title shots before, but I don't see it happening this time. The winner becomes the preeminent gatekeeper for up and coming prospects and will pick up a few nice checks as a result.

Good matchmaking though. I hope McCall brings the fight because Timur is boring as hell...

Ibragaimov should win by decision, if he does not, he should retire. McCall is not as good as he used to be. He stopped Lewis!

Yea whoever loses this one should retire.

But im sure that if the right amount of money isnt in the bank you will see the loser continue to fight on.

No, the fight doesn't have much bearing on the heavyweight division. Its a fight between two fringe contenders, one who is old and one who hasn't really done much in the first place. But, the one thing that McCall or Ibrigamov can do to become relevant is to keep winning these types of fights until something bigger comes along. And its rare to get any kind of boxing on a Tuesday night so if it were televised or I lived nearby I'd watch.

To be fair, it means a lot more than Fedosov-Whitaker did.
