any word on sparring partners, how either of them are looking etc?

 

Certainly very quiet, both camps.

Hopefully DSS will get Danny talking tonight and we'll get some feel about how both are preparing.

 

Heard at one stage Danny was sparring with Victor Oganov.

 

Yep, watched Danny and Vic last week.

All I'll say is Danny looked in good shape and was very accurate with what he was doing.

This fight shouldn't be allowed to happen , Greens a disgrace picking on the ghost's of warriors like Brigg's and Jones .one things for sure Green can never slate Mundine ever again for his choice in opponent ,Greens a joke, he has been for years when you think about it ( did you see the post Roy Jones poolside vid ) atsch ,anyone buying this fight is part of the problem with the sport imo .

 

You're right in as much as they won't be able to point the finger at each other after Green chose Briggsy.

But people have forgotten very quickly that Roy was a raging favourite to beat Green, and we didn't know how shot he was until Green demolished him.

Don't forget too that Mundine has a date in 2 week's time and doesn't seem to be able to organise a tomato can to share the ring with. Surely there's a ****-ordinary 154 guy out there who'd like a paid holiday for an early night?

These guys have to be the highest paid amateurs in the sport, and they've got the hide to drop names like Cotto & Mayweather!

 

Roy is shot to **** mate , anyone who saw the way Joe treated him could tell you that . like i said ,**** fight , if Green had anything about him he would donate the cash to Briggsy not beat him up to bump his record .

Hoping like most that Briggsy can re-find the old magic, but without a lead-in how likely is it?

 

I'm just gutted a warrior like Briggs has to come back for money and Green(a fighter i used to admire) has stooped to buying a reputation .

 

I've got no doubt Briggsy will perform like a warrior on the night too - but heart alone will only get him so far - probably about round 4 or 5.
