Truth be told I'm the same way..
But some of these weight discrepancies we have had in some fights is :scaredas:.

Tho, wins like Haye's over Valuev kinda squash this theory.
BUt so many things can be said about that aswell..... (Another thread)

Really a new division would probably hurt more than it would help. Then you have MORE BELTS to the equation and that makes me less favorable for having a SHW weightclass. I've made my mind up and will go with no.

It clearly sounds like that even ****** Terry don't believe Haye can beat either Klitschkos.

Most small heavyweights should realistically be fighting at cruiserweight, they are the problem. A superheavyweight division would be devastating for boxing in my opinion

if you had a HW and SHW division... guys would be moving up and down to fight each other anyways. Guys cutting weight and rehydrating to regular weight anyways... or more of the dreaded "catch weights"

They would be fighting each other anyways

With a Cruiserweight limit of 200 pounds, it makes less sense than ever.

No, one of the last things we need is more weight classes. Then you'll take what is normally one of the weakest divisions in boxing and simply water it down. Than heavyweights will move up to fight superheavies and vice versa so most of the 200+ guys will be fighting each other anyways. Just a bad idea all together.

At least it would stop heavies fighting some of these proper fat jouneymen who cant even move around.

    It doesn't matter.

If there was one, I'd pay it even less attention than the current HW division.

Naaah. I do think their should be some weight restriction. It's the only division where it doesn't matter if you make weight or not. A superheavy division would be extremely boring. I think 245- 250lbs should be limit. Make these mofos get in shape so we can see an entertaining and competitive fight. Not a hugging sumo match. Oh and also eliminate the cruserweight division. Do these things the heavyweight division is back.

It would tremendously devaluate the HW division and its past and future glory.

People would say "yeah, but that was 'just' HW, could he have cut it at SHW?". SHW would be the world's biggest and most scary fighters. Tyson could hav competed in CW, just as could Evander - but they wanted to do their trade among the biggest men alive.

If their was a SHW division - Tyson , Evander and everyone like them would go there. They would never stop one division from the top, no matter the name of the division. So an additional division would really just mess things up more - and make it even harder for smaller fighters.

I would like to see it. Guys who are 6'4" and over should be in this division. Anybody 6'4" and over has an advantage in reach and height over anyone below 6'4".
