depends maybe his style would gel better than smith did against dodson or dodson would actually come to fight and groves would go 12 rounds with quigley

quigleys only ever been stopped once amd everyone knows he had no buisness being anywhere a boxing ring that night the stoppage was down to quigley than cleverly, quigley is a tough fighter who i dont think would get stopped by groves, is everyone forgetting groves has a suspec chin

As an aside, Kenny Anderson has rejected the chance to appear on Prizefighter...... apparently the £32k potential prize money doesn't motivate him and he's looking at going straight in with Smith.

    Interesting.

Also Dodson's pulled out, struggling with the weight.

  8. Tony Salam's just been confirmed after winning the public vote thingy.

I'd be disappointed to see Smith opt for Anderson ahead of Groves. Obviously I'm a Groves fan, but even so they're both about the same place in the queue but Groves has the Commonwealth strap and I think the majority of fans would rather see a fight between two champions. It'd also be a far far better fight to watch.

Dickinson stopped him in the Junior ABA's??

What are the rumours. The guys spars reguarly with David Haye and Carl Froch if he had a dodgy chin do you think he would be doing that??

I'd be surprised if Smith went in that direction.

For starters Anderson has only had one fight after a year long break.... isn't he with Hatton anyway?

Groves to my mind still has his slot on the Marquez Diaz card.... even if it's only 8 rounds it would be a better option than a Commonwealth defence against Dilks (say).

A chance to box on a big event against someone that isn't just going to fall over isn't to be missed, especially when the options back home aren't exactly inspiring..... Magee will be defending the Euro (he isn't ready for that yet anyway), Smith is eyeing the WBO, Maloney won't let Jeffries anywhere near him (ever)..... ditto Warren with DeGale currently. So that leaves...... not a right lot else.

Paul Smith is not one of the biggest punchers out there.

He has only stopped half his opponents. And guys he hasnt stopped include a shot Dodson, and over weight Quigley, Bendall who has been stopped 4 times and also Healy who got stopped in 1 round by DeGale.

HE IS NOT A BIG PUNCHER.
