Who was the best possible guy that he could have beaten at that time? He was a slim, quick 195 pound heavyweight who just beat Ruiz. He could have beaten guys like Byrd but could he stand a chance against Holyfield? How long wouyld he be in their against Lennox? What guys did you want him to fight at heavy?

At the time I think he *could* have beaten Holyfield,........................ Lennox, maybe 4th round if he can avoid getting hit, the issue would be the reach and height difference on Lewis......he would have kept him from getting close...

He could have conceivably beaten Byrd, Holyfield, Toney at HW

So at that point, was he the 3rd best HW in the division? Only behind Holyfield and Lewis?

Who knows? He sure had all the speed and movement a heavy could wish for and I reckon his power at the weight was enough to do well. Beating Lennox Lewis though? I don't think so.

It only takes one shot though at that weight.

So if Toney and RJJ met at HW at that time (2003-2004), who would have won? And for shits and gigs, who wins nowadays (even with the weight difference)?

in 2003 lennox had his life and death with vitali and wlad held a belt. tua was also kind of around. byrd would have been a good match and holyfield was already old.

i think at the time he beats anybody n the world under 230lbs i dont think his chin was shot until he went back down somethin to do with weight drain i guess if u remember he actually took a couple of clean shots in the 1st 3rounds i know ruiz is not a great puncher but he was a legite puncher he hurt holy a few times

At the time he could have beat Oldyfield, Toney but would have struggled to eat a clean shot from either Klit or LL.

Jones is 5'11 and at most weighed 199 tops .. ? Lennox was what 6'5 240 ..For real why would anyone ask the question as to why he didn't Fight Lennox ..Too much mass for Jones to contend with ..He's always been a little man but to Lennox he was a dwarf !!

I'd love to see anyone give up that much size and pull that off ..
