Still two wrongs don't make a right and it's not acceptable for Khan to duck the best in his division if he plans on staying there, I thought it was off when he ducked Maidana to fight Malignaggi but I gave him the benefit of the doubt since he said he wanted a bigger name for his debut before fighting the best at 140, I even gave him the benefit of the doubt for not fighting the best at 140 for the fight he wanted this July since it was at short notice to prepare for a fight that big but there's no possible way to dress up him continuing to avoid the best in his weight group while fighting the winner of 2 past prime opponents fighting at lightweight.

JMM is still a great fighter but there's no denying his career is winding down!

 

That's funny, because he was an ESB golden boy after those wins and would have beaten anyone at 140 and would have been expected to obliterate Khan. Now apparantly he loses to Randall Bailey and Khan shouldn't even consider fighting him.

JMM is still well-respected here, it's just that there are some realists who understand that JMM is going on 37 and is not what he used to be.

There's also that question as to how he would perform at 140.

 

I think that was my point. Before he fought Mayweather he would have got a decent number of votes to beat Pacquiao in a rematch, now he loses to a 35 year old never-was-been light welterweight.

 

As others pointed out...Bradley, Alexander have already set up fights elsewhere, maidana is going through managment/legal problems.

JJM-Khan is a decent matchup, better than any of the opponents the above three will be fighting this year. He's better than some of the suggestions on forums on who can knock Khan out, like Murray or Katsidis. A 40 year old Marquez would beat them both blindfolded.
