Actually I agree. Vitali punishes you and beats you down over time...then the KO comes unlike Wlad who at anytime has "1 punch KO power" in both hands
Mayweather has stopped only about 4-5 guys to the point they could not continue. Yet his KO rating is respectable at about 60% (which is the same as Margarito actually) Joe Calzaghe about 70% KO ratio. Strange thread but original:good
Theres not too many guys that can stand up to that one-two if landed. Despite his recent history, the guy is a devastaing puncher.
I'd describe Kelly as restrained or conservative. He doesn't have the defensive speed to sellout on any one punch so he relies on his training and technique to keep him in position. He knows he can just keep 'punching away' and get there.
All good examples, mostly anwya. But I'm really thinking Vitali takes the cake here. 40 wins with 38 by KO. That's really odd and unbelievable for a guy that, as far as I've seen, never has had that ability to disconnect a guy from his senses with a single blow.
Alot of these guys are not KO artists, but they get accumulation stoppages, are the fight is stopped because they are badly outclassing their opponent. ex: Vitali v. Arreola
By the way, I think that fact that Vitali has KOed nearly everyone of his opponents DOES make him a KO artist... but it doesn't make him a huge puncher.
