(Me getting highly irritated , standing up out of my seat and raising my voice :rant )

I get tired of having my intelligence questioned because of my support of British fighters!!! Why is it that there is this notion that British fighters are glass chinned, ducking elite fights, and over hyped? And us British fans are dimwiited, biased, and lacking boxing knowledge? This stereotyping has gone far enough, Do you understand that(!!!)?

I actually have no problem with the British fans their support is awesome I wish American fans would sell out 50k seat arena's on a regular basis.

But clearly the Chin thing is not out of line and anyone who watches the sport knows this. For a while every British fighter that fought was getting embarrassingly and brutally KOed every week it seemed.:rofl:patsch

you're right and no nation, no fan, no fighter should be judged on what they are instead of who they are

    It's not British fighters.

David Haye for whatever reason has more American admirers than Calzaghe, Klitschko or Hatton. All I tend to see is white European fighters are not rated highly by American fight fans, instead of being happy that FMJ is one of the best of all time and proudly flying the American flag, we're fixated on how **** HW must be because an American isn't dominating, or how SMW/LHW/CW must be poo because it's Euro dominated.

There are good British fighters, they're just needles in a haystack (like every other nationality).

Same is true of British fans.

If British fans get a lot of crap here, then they can blame the vocal minority (majority?) of them who post nothing but delusional bull**** here.

I know a couple of decent British posters. I also know of a lot of shitty, shitty ones, and they are the worst thing to happen to ESB ever.

You can put together all of the other shitty ESB posters, such as the *****s and *******s and, all added together, they are half as shitty as the horde of awful British posters.

It's like British culture has this peculiarity, where they believe that one way of being a sports fan means becoming a delusional ****. They think it is normal to act in a way that is literally insane - ignoring facts or reality - and that is their mode of 'support'. So you have some normal fans, then you have the 'extreme' ones. Soccer hooligans, the barmy army, Haye's Gays - all totally ****ed in the head, and understood or accepted only within the context of the British culture. Their extreme behaviour, their depths of stupidity is accepted, even embraced by the wider British community.

Once a British person goes down that path they become one of the worst sports fan on the face of the planet. Within their own community it's normal so they don't get why the rest of the world hates their guts. It's because they embrace idiocy and insanity - who the **** can respect that?

Look at recent Haye versus Marciano thread and you will see all the evidence you need. 15% of the people who replied to the poll that Haye would beat Marciano? Are they actually so stupid as to be borderline ******ed, or do they think that they need to lie to be true fans? Either way, that is a huge chunk of bull**** infesting these boards, and yes people are sick of it.

I think British fans are largely misunderstood and it's merely a cultural thing when it comes to being disliked for that very reason.

As for British fighters, apologies in advance on behalf of my fellow countryman for the following....

    1. David Haye constantly ducking the K bros.

    2. Our fair share of overhyped nobodies.

    3. Audley Harrison.

I don't think that your support is questioned it is the voracity of it. You simply can't take criticism of your fighters. They are for the most part glass chinned and over hyped. Supporting a fighter and being realistic about their abilities do not need to be mutually exclusive. What makes you sound like idiots is exactly that unwavering support without the ability to acknowledge there flaws. I in fact admire the support you give your fighters, just try to be a bit more objective about that support. I'm saying this to the nuthuggers. For example, it is a fact that Haye is ducking the Klitschko brothers. Its okay, I agree that he should at this time in his career, but stop all the crazy talk that he'd kill them. If he could easily destroy them, he'd fight them. That is where the money is and all the fame. It is admirable the devotion you give your fighters. I wish it where the same in America.

The majority of the 'intelligent' Brit boxing fans are on the Brit forum. You really shouldn't judge as a whole based on those that post on the general - especially when 90% only post on here to wind-up people - for example, the 3 names you mentioned do just that.
