Excellent post all the way up until the end. Haye in fact would make Marciano look like a *****. Marciano is one of the all time greats but he would be dominated by Haye. Marciano would be giving up 13 inches in reach and about 40 pounds. Haye would crush him.

TerryESB, don't let it bother you. At least you're a better poster than Rico Spadafora.

Because British fighters are glass chinned, ducking elite fighters and over hyped.

    Examples:
    David Haye
    Amir Khan
    Joe Calzaghe

(Don't get mad by the way I'm British too)

It's just the promotion over here is such that our fighters gain more exposure, more exposure leads to greater bargaining option, greater bargaining options leads to a padded career with hand picked opponents.

"For the most part" are glass chinned? So whats that, 70-80% of all British fighters have glass jaws? Please name them all and enlighten me.

How the **** is Calzaghe 'glass chinned'? Oh no, he got floored a couple of times in his career, that automatically means he has poor punch resistance!

Maybe I should have been more specific

Amir Khan is glass chinned, over hyped and ducking elite fighters.
David Haye has a questionable chin and is ducking elite fighters.
Joe Calzaghe was over hyped and ducked elite fighters.

I just thought you would be able to infer that.

Yes, you should have made it more clear - i.e British fighters are either glass jawed, overhyped, duckers or a combination of the 3.

I could argue with most of your points, but I really cannot be bothered.

    Nailed.

    Well done, sir...

The ones you're referring to are the absolute DREGS of Boxing "fans"...shameless fools who shouldn't be allowed to post on the sport.

15% picked Haye over Marciano around here, eh?... :verysad

I sincerely feel sorry for the small handful of Quality Boxing Fans in this forum...that you have to deal with their ilk on a daily basis.

Damn you Terry for starting this **** thread. You twats need to get over your inferiority complex.

I personally have nothing against you douchebags. If you ever come to New York, I will buy you a pint.

I accept your apology, although it's not really necessary. That's very big of you. Are you sure you're British? Just kidding. My countrymen will probably disown me for this, but **** it: I like Froch.

I only dislike David Haye because he is a vagina. People who defend him are also suspect, but I will give them the benefit of the doubt.

Edit: You twats = Terry acting like a twat and anyone else who thinks their persecuted for being British. Get over it.

British fans are the most delusional on ESB, they won't accept their fighters flaws inside or outside of the ring and always manage to twist facts to suit their agenda. There are some decent British posters but even the usually rational ones lose all sense of reality when discussing Khan and Haye.

There are some very good Brit posters, as you said though, they don't inhabit the General forum.

Again, you refer casually to an aspect of British culture that is generally thought, throughout the rest of the world, to be absolute shyte. These posters that you talk about believe that they are being funny. They aren't. Similarly they believe that David Haye is Oscar Wilde. He isn't.

British humour at it's best is extremely good. It mixes beautiful subtlety and nuances with stinging satire. It is as good as any humour anywhere.
But there is a subclass of British humour that is absolute shyte.

Let's put it this way. Imagine you saw a nationality that had some good comedians - but some of their population thought that eating **** was the height of humour. Then imagine that they came onto an internet forum and started telling stories or posting pictures of them eating **** and their favourite boxer doing the same. It would be obvious that they offered nothing expect a nuisance, and the excuse that 'they think they are funny' would not impress anyone except themselves. It would be clear that the forum would be better off without them.

Hold on wait a minute. You calling me a comedian ( taking my coat off)! I have had enough of being treated like a red headed step son merely because of the fighters that I chose to support.
