By that I mean which boxer has redefined himself OUTSIDE the ring more prominently than any other. My vote goes to the amazing George Foreman. From the sullen, hostile, noncommunicating brute that he was in the 70's all the way to the much loved grill selling entrpreneur that we know him to be today. Hell, people who wouldn't even sniff at the idea of lowering themselves to knowing anything about boxing or boxers know George Foreman...he completely and shrewdly reinvented himself like no one else I've ever known of.
Jack Dempsey is believed to have pimped his first wife and perhaps killed a guy or to in his hobo days.
George Foreman. Hmmmm Oscar De La Hoya, was the first boxer to start all this promotions maddness. Now all the big guys are doing in, Ricky Hatton, Floyd Mayweather, Joe Calzaghe, Roy Jones............
I know at least half my friends got Foreman Grills, my brother does, and my two sisters do too. Whenever I ask them to watch some old fights with me, they're amazed to see how prime Foreman looked like.
Eh, not so much. He might not have his health, but at least he has his money. Holyfield has 154 kids, is boxing at age 75 , and can't even earn some cash on the side off a grill (never even knew he had one before you posted that pic)
Had no-so-kosher dealings with a whorehouse, underbelly of the business. Not even getting into it again, feel free to google it up however, more then a few sources where you can read about it and decide for yourself whether it was fictional or not.
