He's too good a fighter to not win a world title. Seriously worried he's going to peak with all these meaningless european defences. Hurts you to see so many fighters get undeserved title shots and a fighter like Rhodes, Who's paid his dues, go under the radar.

Preach My Brother Preach!!!! I fear were going to see another Moore here....Jamie i wish was pushed on a bit sooner. Ryan's even further down the line...he's having a Indian Summer and i wanna see him get a shot soon before old father time catches up on him!

I think he'll get his title shot after this fight against Konecny. Rhodes better make sure he isn't complacent though, because Konecny is pretty handy and a good test before going into a 'world' title fight.

The shame may be that Rhodes got his first world title to shot too early and his second one too late.

:yep exactly. We seen it before mate...guys looking great but old age waits for no man. Ryan's a slick fighter but he's had his hard battles. He's had a long career and even if he blitzes Konecny (which i doubt..although he should win) 6 months down the line things from his career could catch up on him. It's one of my major worries with him. I'd like him to get the shot now...he's not a kid who needs learning fights...it's pretty much now or never but i understand the Konecny fight to a point.

Moore is a perfect example, I think Arthur is too because he was too tight at super feather by the time he had his WBO interim strap. Then you see fighters get give world title shots before they've really even brushed British level.

Yeah this is a major problem with British Boxing recently. Seem to be one extreme to another. Either have so many fights and end up getting beat because of factors including: motivation, weight, hard fights etc. then you get lads who box around domestic level and poor european and get chucked to the lions and i mean the lions...no ordianry champions the best champions and world class guys. We seem to be to cautious or over zealous with our fighters nowadays.

Do you think the same will happen to Booth? I love Booth, but we all seen what Molitor did to Hunter...

These guys have to take the chance when it arrives and (I know it sounds harsh) sometimes they only get the call for a world title shot because the champ wants a marking time defence. A Euro level fighter fits the bill perfectly.

To be honest Kos..i love Jason to but people are over looking the Marsh fight...he didn't look great imo. He did have that cut and grinded his way back into proceedings...but it's made me worried that maybe again old father times caught up on the legend. I hope not...i think if he still got something in tank he can cause Molitor trouble. Hunter met Molitor at the wrong time...now he seems far more vulnerable.

I do think Booth will give a valiant effort, but Molitor will get by on points. Molitor must have the same levels of popularity as someone like Olusegun. Two time 'world' champion from Canada and the nicest place he has boxed in is Hartlepool

Mandanda, yep the Marsh fight is very much overlooked - Booth was arguably losing that fight until the stoppage. I just hope that was a bad day at the office...

    :yep:good
What i will like is that Molitor will be fighting a technician rather then a pressure fighter. It will make things interesting. If Jason loses chuck him in to European title fight..he deserves that at the least. I would of loved to seen this fight at the Harvey Hadden...Jason's old stomping ground...shame really.

I share your views on Ryan fellas, for me, he needs that shot asap. Hopefully find out the situation with the WBC on wed/Thursday.
He's ready in mind and body now for a world title shot.

Don't want him at Euro level now, but if nothing comes up for a world title crack, konecny fight next then it HAS to be a shot after.

Martinez might vacate the 154 strap so Rhodes should get put forward for the vacant strap.

If not, they should look to get Spinks over...he can't get on TV in the US and his fight against Bundrage keeps falling through.

Would love to see him fight any 154 fighter.
