Jennings/Bellew July 3rd bill pulled

  1. Shows what you know. He wasn't getting the breaks at the top level of am boxing because they kept picking Saunders and that's why he went pro.

He's now sparring the likes of Matty Hall and Frankie Gavin.

So, no, he wouldnt have had experience at a higher level.

Barrera turned pro at 15, was National champion by 18, and world champion by 21. He wasn't too young, neither is Heffron.

I'm not replying to you again cos a) there's no need b) you're just looking for an argument c) all your arguments are baseless

Heffron is NOT Barrera and never will be. Good British level fighter.

Matchroom and Warren working together is highly unlikely and Gavin will be pushed way quicker than Chris and will therefore be a completely different stages and with all due respect to Chris i do not think he will get to Gavins level, could be wrong though.

Also I could easily come up with quite a few fighters who should never of turned pro at 18 and are now no more than british level, i.e Matthew Hall and Athony Crolla. You chose Barrera but that is the massive exception to the rule. If Froch had turned pro at 18 or Haye do you think they would of gone as far as they did....no way.

  5. Tony's a smart guy Rob, I'm sure he wouldn't be campaigning at light-heavy if he was going to struggle there and he's looked good so far when he's had to make the weight.

I'm sure he'd like to fight more often, and Groves had a good first year or so as pro but, as above, Groves is a hard yardstick to put every fighter by. He's looked after well by Hayemaker whereas other guys signed to Warren or Maloney are vying with 15-20 other guys to get on bills and competition is fiercer than ever to get Sky dates.

thats all good if your an average pro but Bellew is a special talent and therefore needs to be out that often.

What will change in a month he has no fight scheduled, he needs at least 3 more fights this year. After his last fight went 1 round he should have been out again on the west ham card. if he was to fight for a world title in the next 18 months he would be far to inexpirienced and would end up looking the same as Kevin Mitchell.

Evangelou said on here he is not exclusive with Matchroom. I think his point was that he expected Gavin to be pushed quicker and he isnt so they could end up at British title level together.

Fair point about getting out more but if bellew k.os an opponent in 1 round u can't just say get him out again frank (as much as I'd like to see that.) he is a very well paid fighter. F.w. Has a budget he can't just say oh you k.od that guy in 1 so il get u out again in a couple of weeks. Money plays a big part but I agree he certainly needs to get out more this year

Your now talking shite,Tell me where I said David Haye smashed me you idiot, I have never been smashed in sparring off anyone in my whole life and that's a FACT!! He wasn't an am when I sparred him either you clown he was a pro on the verge of fighting for the european title and I held my own with the guy, There are people who post on here who could galdly comment on it who were actually there...

Let me tell you this if George Groves is the second coming of David Haye like your making him out to be then tell me this how has he been stopped on numerous occasions as an am, At domestic level!! I rate George very highly but don't try to slate me by comparing him to me... You say I don't have the athletic ability, You haven't got a clue, Im one of the best trained fighters in this country..

I work with a premiership strength & conditioner and also have the best young boxing coach on the scene.. How you work out Im not an athlete?? I don't know??

You say Im overated, Funny cos the people that signed your golden boy Groves were trying to sign me before him and I know how highly they rate me mate, Go and ask there main man Dave Coldwell how good I am or can be!! He predicted I'll be a world champion in his boxing news column..

Im the biggest light heavy in the country and the same David Haye and Adam Booth you go on about tell me it's unreal your that weight How do you do it??

Next time you wanna crititisise me mate I suggest you do a bit of research eh..

If Bellew wants to get paid well he can pick up the WBU and defend it in Liverpool 10 times and retire.

If he wants to become a true champion he should of had 20 fights by now, and he wants to be fighting a minumum of 5 times a year until he wins a world title.

wow i seriously wish you had signed with Hayemaker, you would be in such a better position right now. you have to admit Tony, Groves is in the exact same position as you and hes had 4 less fights and 1 year less as a pro.

Tony i know he hammered you in sparring and companies who want to sign you are going to blow a load of smoke up your arse. You say you are with one of the best coaches in the country but tell me how many 50/50 fights has he won with his prospects.....0, so dont make me laugh. Also if all these top fight promoters were after you why did you sigh with Warren, you aint getting the fights and the ones you do are ****. Looks like you made a bad choice, and you are not athletic and or explosive, you might look good beating blown up middleweights but lets see what you look like when you fight someone your own weight,oh but i forgot your the most avoided fighter in the history of the sport.

to be fair Coldwell has been on this forum telling us Bellew is a **** hot prospect. same with Stephen Smith. They wanted both for there promotion remember the big Liverpool connection.

pissed me off Bellew and Smith would be so much better of with Hayemaker.

A million times better but Bellew is now so far up Warrens arse it is unlikely to happen, we will look back and say what could of been with these 2 fine prospects.
