You're not giving Mosley nearly enough credit for beating Margarito, he's someone who has always taken punishment because of his come forward style but nobody was expecting what Mosley did.

only a floyd fan boy would say this. mosley offered to fight pacquiao at 140, so would you rather pac accepting a fight with a 140 mosley than cotto at 145?

mosley is a good victory but we have seen that he tired too early. the inactivity has done wonders to an old man. and we will see the real score once mosley fights a ranked welter or light middle next time. the cotto victory of pac is better than the mosley victory of floyd in two ways. one is the performance of pac who not only cruise to a decision but stopped cotto and two the performance of both cotto and mosley who i think cotto has performed better.

As stupid as this interview...I think a glaring piece of truth sticks out...

"He said a defeat at the hands of Pacquiao would mean that “for the rest of his life Mayweather will always be associated with the biggest fight in boxing history as the loser of that fight. He wouldn’t be able to deal with that.” "

And that's not being a hater either. That's just simply truth. That amount of pressure can have anyone thinking twice. That's taking a walk in Joe Frazier's shoes. Max Schmeling could give you a clue what it was like to be pimp handed in a single round. Seriously...that **** would be harmful to one's mindstate in general.

Actually Mosley just wanted to fight him, it was Roach who wanted to know if Mosley could get down to 142 which he said he couldn't so Roach rejected the fight saying he had no interest in fighting for Shane's title only to go off and arrange a fight with Cotto instead.

Mosley then said he would fight him at 140 because he was desperate for tor the fight but it was too late by then as Roach had his eye on another paper title at 147, a weight group that he said he had no interest in putting Pacquiao in when Mosley offered it after the Hatton fight.

So your question is irrelevant without the bigger picture.

who in the right mind would put his fighter at risk? pac has never been tested at WW. dela hoya didnt land anything on pac and mosley is a powerful WW. i think roach is afraid that pac cant handle his power so they decided to fight cotto instead since cotto is not that big of a puncher like mosley.

    see the picture?

Manny PacGwire is going to fight cottoe for the 154lbs title but at 150lbs!!!!

Just like manny pac won the 147lbs title at 145lbs!!!!!

will someone explain this to me!!!!!!!!!!!

just who has manny pacgwire beat???
manny padded paquaio!!! he should get the padded award!!!!

Erik morales lost a trilogy then erik morales lost a "tune up fight" then lost to manny pac!!! Erik was already losing!!!

Oscar De La Hoya 36yr old part time fighter since 2002 weight drained and lost 3 of his last 6 fights!!!

Ricky fatton Hatton drunken fighter and was K.O. by mayweather and mayweather is not even a power puncher!!!

Miguel Cottoe looked weak in his last 2 fights!!! and was drained to 144 lbs!! why not fight cottoe at his best 147lbs??

manny pacgwire targets weak fighters or fighters he can drain!!!

he has not beat a prime fighter manny pac is a protected PADDED fighter!!!

    MANNY PADDED PACQUAIO!!!!

Mosley tiring gets completely blown out of proportion, the simple truth is he has always struggled against boxers and Mayweather just shut him down, if Mosley fights again against someone like Berto you will see the difference.

You can't compare their performances like that either as Mosley has never been stopped in his career where as Cotto was dropping to his knee a few fights earlier because he was getting a beatdown, the reason Mosley didn't impress is because he had no answer for Mayweather's gameplan at all and was completely shut down.

id rather watch them fight at 147. if pac wants the title at 154 then fight cotto at the weight limit.

you lack objectivity! your the worst boxing fan ever!

I agree with you, they ducked Mosley's power and come forward style to fight someone slower who looked on the decline.

    A better stylistic match up.

No. What is becoming increasingly obvious, based on your last two posts, is your failure in being able to put a coherent argument together.

So far, your rationale consists of: Mosley was on a par with Cotto because the fickle opinion of some Boxing fans continuously changed as the results for each Boxer's respective bouts came in.

Your statement on Pacquiao having "ducked" Mosley is unfounded. Stating that this is "obvious" makes it no more persuasive. You need to back up sweeping statements like this with reasoning, considering all-sides and not only those premises, which support your stance.

mosley was very predictable that night.. jab jab jab jab then followup straight or hook and his reflexes is gone.

yes they ducked mosleys power but now that roach knows and pac he himself knows he can handle anyone at welterweight, i dont think theyll gonna duck him the 2nd time around.

I've backed up my reasoning here > #51

Actually Mosley just wanted to fight him, it was Roach who wanted to know if Mosley could get down to 142 which he said he couldn't so Roach rejected the fight saying he had no interest in fighting for Shane's title only to go off and arrange a fight with Cotto instead.

Perhaps you can tell me why Mosley wasn't on par with Cotto even though he was ranked higher in the P4P rankings, the WW rankings and was coming off one of the best victories of his career compared to Cotto who was coming off a poor run of form that involved getting beatdown by Margarito, winning a paper title against a nobody and struggling to get past Clottey.
