I'm not sure about some of these being named as "megafights", but Lewis-Bowe not happening was surely a shitty moment for 90s HW boxing.

It wasn't going to be a mega-fight if you know about the situation back then. Ali was ready for Foreman but Foreman lost to Young so Ali fought Young and Foreman retired.

It was going to be a fun fight but nothing new or surprising. Early it will look competitive for like two rounds then Mosley wins by KO late with most of the rounds being scored for him.

Pernell Whitaker vs Meldrick Taylor. Yeah i know they were friends, but they only knew each other cuz of the olympics, it's not like they were childhood friends. Hell ramirez and chavez are best freinds for ****s sakes and they fought each other. Pernell not fighting medlrick makes his 1989-1993 run seem a little incomplete.

dont know if its classed as a mega fight, but vitali and lewis having a rematch would of been interesting....

Azumah vs Pedroza in either 83 or 84
    Azumah Nelson vs Brian Mitchell
    Azumah Nelson vs Antonio Esparagozza
    Azumah Nelson vs Barry Mcguigan

Nelson fought in a stacked era from 83-89, he could have really boosted his legacy if he fought some of these guys. Azumah is usually considered on the level of wilfred benitez, if he beat these guys, he would be in my top 30.

Simon Brown and Maurice Blocker were best friends. They gave us one of the three best welterweight fights of the 1990s.

Yeah i would have loved to seen whitaker vs simon brown, starling and honeyghan actually. I mean its been done in the past, where the lightweight champ challenges the welterweight champ. Guys like azumah nelson and pernell, they missed out on alot of big fights.

Pryor and Leonard used to eat at each other's houses for god's sakes. if they wanted to fight each other, meldrick and pernell could have happened around 1992.
