... it seems Floyd is making it clear he is not interested in fighting Manny. A blood test agreement was reached. Floyd is now saying no to a 50-50 purse split. They are now eyeing a rematch with Cotto for his 154 lb. belt. Personally, as a Pac fan, I would rather see Manny lose to Floyd than for this fight not to happen at all. Big blow to boxing IMO. Another weight title to Manny against an opponent he dominated is meaningless at this point. I hope things change for boxing's sake.
I could care less if anyone believes it or not. I'm passing info from a friend who is close to Manny himself and his camp. I'm hoping it's not true.
I just got inside info from Team Valuev: Niko's actually the one in negotiations with Pac to fight at 154. He wants to settle the P4P debate once and for all. The big man says making weight won't be a problem. He was at 154 when he was in 2nd grade, and he thinks that walking around at over 300 is slowing him down a bit.
I am not trying to be rude to the TS but you cannot label the thread 'inside info' and then not list the source. We can all just put 'insider info' on the front of every thread and it would be meaningless. Try and use these terms with respect; if you don't then you devalue the forum
For some reason ( as bad as I want to see Paq./ May) There is a better chance of getting Paq/ Cotto at 154 for a belt. I hope I'm wrong, It just seem like this fight can't be made. I do however think Cotto at 154 with Steward in his corner is a completly different fight than 145.
