For me, a slightly past-prime Morales is still a tougher assignment than the highly flawed Prince Naseem. And so it proved on those respective nights. JMHO, we can agree to disagree on that one.
A slightly past prime Erik Morales who was coming off a lopsided defeat at the hands of Zahir Raheem? :huh I know you aren't a big advocate of Hamed's supposed supernatural talent, and neither am I, but you would have struggled to find many people 'in the know' at that time who expected Barrera to box smartly and take Hamed's best shots when needed. It's minor.
We've did this dance a million times, I don't believe Morales was comfortable or effective at lightweight then, while Raheem was, and Raheem was a bad stylistic match for him much like Vernon Forrest was for Shane Mosley. Morales did not go from the best win of his career to shot in a couple of months. Barrera-Hamed was a genuinely great win, I honestly believe that, and I think my ranking reflects that.
You're right, we know each others' opinions too well on such matters. Any further comments to add? PS: WTF happened to Twin Peaks after the resolution of the Laura Palmer story? The 2nd half of the 2nd season is utter shite until the last couple of episodes!
The network forced Lynch to reveal the killer to early, and as a result, Lynch left the scene and they had no idea where to take the series. Some douche came in and ****ed it up with Windom Earle, and then Lynch comes back for the final episodes...which is probably the best of the whole series. Lynch was the driving creative force behind Twin Peaks, that much was evident. I added the comment how I'd reversed your first and second places.
Wow, u put a lot of time into this one. Don't agree with all, but a great list of fights indeed :good
Yeah, it's obvious the parts that Lynch was heavily involved in. Some of the episodes focusing on Ben Horne and the Civil War actually made me want to die they were that bad.
