Over the last few decades who have been the most effective combination punchers?

In recent years Calzaghe and obviously Pacquiao come to mind.

With Khan, i think when he starts landing that left hook + right cross; he becomes very effective.

Calzaghe is not an effective combination puncher at all. Inaccurate and largely powerless flurrying with your hand open is not effective combination punching. Calzaghe had his strengths, but combo punching was not one of them.

Watch Pernell Whitaker vs Buddy McGirt II from 1994, probably the greatest exhibition of combination punching I've ever seen.

Juan Manuel Marquez purely for combination punching has been one of the finest of our era, really really good in that regard. Hopkins is very good technically in this regard also, always has been.

His 1-2-3, 1-2 combinations are very very polished- all of his best weapons coming together very well.

In Calzaghe's case it was effective in that volume punching scores points with the judges, although each individual punch would not have been effective if landed one at a time.

He was a great volume puncher, he was not a great combination puncher. Flurrying is not combination punching.

JM Marquez is a great combo puncher in my opinion. What do you think of Marquez in that regard mate?
