Although Marquez often takes time to let his hands go, have to agree that he is damn effective when he starts to land, as we should see again in the Diaz rematch when he mixes in those uppercuts.
Prime Barrera and mature Marquez are close in this regard though, even if Barrera is better. Has Tyson been mentioned?
I have never seen combination punching that wowed me quite as much as a prime Roy Jones. Extremely fast, coming from odd angles with vicious power all at the same time.
i wasn't going to get into it because it's late, but from a technical standpoint Jones shouldn't be mentioned for me at all, from an effectiveness standpoint he's undoubtedly one of the best though. When we say combos i always think it refers to the technical aspect of it, otherwise i'd call it flurrying. Combination punching in recent years, we have to mention Ricardo Lopez.
we just posted at the same time. Manny does combo but technically it's just very basic, so maybe you could just label it flurrying, i'll leave it up to you, i'm not fussed really.
I think Khan is overrated in this department. He barely landed one solid combination on Paulie Malignaggi last time out. He lands one-twos...about it, really.
