and here we are again because you refuse to acknowledge a simple fact that Khan was weight drained for a duration of his stay at lightweight, i think you can hold onto your false hope because he certainly isnt stopping Khan.

I think Alexander, Maidana and a few other people stop Khan at this point in time but McCloskey doesnt. What puts McCloskey in that bracket??, please tell me, McCloskey is no where near that level or Khans and deep down you know it. The fact of the matter is im not overly hot on Khan but im simply forwarding what a lot of people believe.

You also question Khan himself which is strange, i feel its Goldenboy protecting an asset at least until hes ready but thats boxing.

That all sounds great but why hasn't he EVER faced a decent opponent with skills and power in his own weight division? Surely if he is anywhere near what you describe he would be fighting the best to showcase these amazing attributes, but instead all his opponents are hindered in some way to make him look better.

McCloskey has a totally different style to Kotelnik so that comparison is pointless. Khan might have an improved defense to protect his abysmal chin but he still makes mistakes which McCloskey could take advantage of with his counterpuching style.

Khan is an averagely skilled boxer who's speed covers up a multitude of weaknesses, but if you want to fool yourself into thinking he is some potential atg go ahead Brummy :good

i dont see anyone that Khan has fought to get to his World Title that would trouble McCloskey in the slightest.

Although Amir has improved under Roach, i still dont see him in a different league than Paul. Amir has speed, bt thats about all, his punch resistance will let him down very soon as there aren't many feather fisted 140s left.

Only time will tell if either of them can take a title off either Alexander or Bradley, that will be the true test.

you may be right, Amir was lucky in that sense that his promoter was Warren, but could you see McCloskey beating a fighter like Paulie???

secondly if Khan only had speed he would not be where he is now, hes put in a lot of hard work.

and again i agree i feel Khan might get stopped sooner or later but i simply cant see that guy being McCloskey, he hasnt even faced anyone of genuine world level ability.

The fact that you used the word "probably" shows that you do not exude confidence in this comment, it shows self doubt:good

McCloskey would have virtually zero chance against Khan. His defence is too leaky. Yes he can bang and might get lucky but lets see him square of with olusegun then we might be getting somewhere.

I could honestly see him beating Paulie, probably with a bodyshot KO

m in friggin loads of debt from it, and could do most of what i needed to know without it. I had a kithen/bar job for most of the time there, was worth it for the parties alone!...also met my wife there, so it wasn't a dead loss!

So this argument has moved on from Paul having a cheek to call out Amir, to people entertaining the thought of how a fight between the two might go.

Does that mean that we have established that the original post was a load of horse****. especially when considering that the original poster has even commented on how he thinks the fight may go (Khan win by UD)?

Khan may beat McCloskey, but that doesn't mean he doesn't deserve a shot, especially when one considers the rather liberal interpretation of the word "deserve" when it comes to handing out World title shots in Khan-land.

Shall we just not bother having the fight and just add a W to Khans record as some of you have already decided how the fight may go. I don't know if you've noticed, but winners of fights are decided in the ring, not by a commitee on ESB.
