Let me put it differently. Ward delivers his shots and then he runs for cover in the pocket to avoid being hit. If Ward can do damage in the pocket, in any form, he's willing to do it. Against Kessler headbutting was it.
Maybe someone should ask him to change it since theres a member on an internet boxing forum that doesn't like it. I'm sure he'll understand
I think Green is going to pull off the upset.....just a gut feeling. I think he ends up catching Ward with a left hook and puts him out. I could be wrong but I think the upset is gonna happen.
It wouldn't be the 1st time I was wrong....just the 2nd! But Ward in my opinion should be the favorite. I'm just basing my opinion about the outcome on styles and the fact that Ward's chin is a bit questionable. Won't be surprised if Ward wins a decision but I'd be less surprised if Green didn't get a stoppage at some point in the fight.
:thinkTo a degree yes Ward's chin is questionable but we have to see what happens if he takes a flush shot now because he's a much better fighter than the one who got hurt and dropped earlier in his career if I remember correctly. I remember a commentator saying Ward had been hurt previously in his career. That being said if Ward can take away Green's left hook and keep his defense tight he should win. I've been punched in the face alot in sparring yesterday for not having my defens tight at all it's not cool. I still had my moments and will be sharper today assuming the guys for me to spar with are there:bbb.
Ward has improved A LOT. I'm really impressed with him. I jsut think that Allen has the style and power to catch the more technical fighter in Ward. If it goes 12 I think Ward takes the decision...if it ends early I'm thinking it's by way of a Green left hook.:bbb
