Nah, Pascal is actually a very nice guy. When there is a boxing card in Montreal he always walk in the stands and talk to the fans, takes pictures, etc.. It's just his "character" that he puts on display in interviews and during press conferences that is an arrogant *****. :yep
I had the chance to talk with Pascal and is a really nice down to earth guy! he talk to me like i was an old friend and he's always there for is fan! Great guy and a great champ!!!:good
I think pascal is entirely too determined of a pure athlete and warrior to keep this from becoming a serious dogfight at points, and as he showed against glen johnson in their first matchup, chad is more than willing and able to meet the challenge. providing that chad's chin can hold up, because it will be tested, I see him out boxing pascal for the majority of the fight and earning a decision. I think chad has to be considered a top fighter if he can soundly outbox pascal with no real trouble.
Absolutely. I mean Pascal is no Mayweather in terms of boxing ability, but he is a solid champion. If Chad were to beat Jean with a 9-3 type decision that would only solidify what most people think about Chad in terms of boxing ability.
That was the Tarver fight. Dawson-Johnson II did much better than that (but still not great, considering Dawson was supposedly fighting at home).
I think it was The Ring that did an extensive interview with Chad, and he did state that he doesn't really worry about fans or what they think, ecspecially when it comes to going for the ko. Dawson didn't seem disrespectful to fans with the way he said it, he's just worried about getting the W and the money in the bank the comes with it. Respectable reason to be safety first and not fan friendly.
I'm gonna be there trying to psyche Dawson out from a distance. Does that ever work? [yt]jo_3Z0kbJlA[/yt]
I have a hard time disliking Dawson because he's more concerned about bringing home money for the family, than fighting a fight we wanna see. I respect his boxing ability absolutely, but a few fireworks here and there is one thing that helps keep boxing exciting. I love boxing and will watch him even if I know it will be a safety first boxing clinic. That is what the sport is called, Boxing, lets not forget that.
