I'm sickened by the idea of Haye vs. Harrison. Haye gave us a fantastic night of boxing against Ruiz and filled us full of hope and promise that he was going to be a world beater at HW. Instead he shits out of negotiations with K2. At the end of the day they hold the cards. They're the ones who've fought everyone who said they would. We're getting a false prophet fighting a no-mark. Harrison's won a B-rate tournament and fluked his way to a win over a Klitschko sparring partner. And now he's worthy of a title shot? The fight isn't even a big fight here in the UK. It'll get promoted by Sky like it is. But true boxing fans know its a farce and symbolises everything we've grown to hate about the sport. I'm a Haye fan. But if this happens my respect for him will crash like Harrison will on the canvas inside 3.

Supporting your fighter is one thing, but I have no idea how a fan can justify this defense...if it happens. It is important to note, obviously, that nothing has been signed. And I was all but certain that the fight would not occur when I heard what Adam Booth, Haye's manager, had to say. He said he hated the fight and that Audley was not a worthy contender. Furthermore, he said Haye would be pilloried in the press if he took the fight. Why oh why would he take the fight after his manager said that in the press? atsch
That would be fine if he didn't promise us over and over again that he will only fight the best and go only for the biggest fights whenever he has the chance. Haye has the chance to make big fights happen right now, right here. Nothing is in the way. Nothing is holding him up, he just seemingly lost all interest and desire that's all. I wouldn't mind Haye fighting bums if he didn't promise us the opposite before.

Spot on which is why I will be shocked if this fight happens. There is the Sky tv/Sauerland element to be taken into consideration as well but nothing will make Haye and co more money than fighting a Klitschko if the K2 offer is true. Neither Booth or Haye have said much recently but Schaefer has said that the Valuev rematch has become a bit of a roadblock and that a solution needs to be found before they can enter serious negotiations with other fighters. Neither Haye or Valuev want the rematch so it must be over compensation and, if you've been following Valuevs headlines recently, he won't come cheap.
And if he doesn't but instead fights a worthy opponent or a Klitschko please be the first to come on here and admit you were wrong. :good
