about the tournament etc, have now been shown to be a pack of lies and smokescreen.

He and his handlers want absolutely no part of the elite at 140!

They rejected the tournamet idea without ANY CONSIDERATION!

"The direction we want to go" ie - fighting washed up lightweights, feather fisted guys etc.. I mean is this guy ever going to fight anyone good at 140? No, because he'd get exposed and brutally rendered unconscious. Khan is a total and utter fraud of a "world champion".

    :hey

yea cause Marquez, Maidana, and Katsidis are featherfisted.

meanwhile Bradley is running from Alexander like Usain Bolt and noone says anything

    Marquez - faded/shot LIGHTWEIGHT.

Katsidis - LIGHTWEIGHT (who he won't fight anyway).

Maidana - Already PAID off not to fight Con.

Shaw said they would put the names in a hat so Bradley could fight Alexander!

Anyone could fight anyone - hence the reason Con wants nothing to do with it. His opponents have to be carefully selected. All of his opponents after Prescott have been superb matchmaking - all either shot/faded, bloated or feather-fisted, or a combination of the three. Con has absolutely zero interested in fighting an elite 140 fighter.

Khan is a solid fighter, he proved that against Paulie...he deserves to be where he is...although his chin is still suspect.

when Con steps up to the plate and actually fights someone good in his own division I'll lay off - but it doesn't look like it's going to happen.

Khan is a good boxer but I think he's a knockout waiting to happen. The Maidana that fought Ortiz would blast him out.

i agree with the threadstarter in the essence that after the paulie fight he proposed the idea of a 140 tourny between himself maidana, bradley and alexander. when shaw contacted GBP they and khan wanted nothing to do with it. dont say stuff your not gonna do.

however a fight with katsidis or jmm/diaz is still a step in the right direction.

Khan fighting lightweights or ducking the top guys? They're all at it. Alexander is fighting Khans leftovers next and his team was calling out Humberto Soto a couple of days ago. Whats the difference?

khan vs maidana...won't happen anytime soon.

GBP can pit their own fighters. Same **** Top Rank does. I got no problem with that as long as they fight.

Bradley needs to dump Shaw and get in with either Top Rank or GBP.

To the thread starter, I've got a little bit of advice for you........try being a little bit more partial, and try actually thinking about what's going on. ALL of the fighters in this proposed tournament are putting these fights off for the time being:

    - Bradley with his move to 147
    - Maidana with his managerial problems
    - Khan with his profile development in the US
    - Alexander...well he's willing to fight everyone and their dad.

What does this tell you? It tells you that these fights (Maidana, Bradley, Khan and Alexander) are going to take place when the time is right.
