I thought we would lose against Ledwaba Barrera Morales (second fight) Marquez (second fight, it was close and I had Marquez ahead by one point, but the official result is Pac win) De La Hoya Cotto In addition, I thought he would be troubled against Hatton and Clottey and in the third and final Morales fight. What about you? How many times you considered Pac the underdog?
v marquez 2nd fight v dlh v hatton after the hatton fight i became a firm believer in pacman. i lost a lot of money betting on those 3 against pacman but have since learned my lesson. i gonna back pacman all the way now even against mayweather. i am a turned believer
Hatton? After Pac was coming off that battering of De La Hoya, and Hatton had looked **** against Lazcano and only decent against Malignaggi. I knew Hatton had no chance
well betting with my heart really went over to vegas to cheer on my man and he got a massive beating lol
He proved me wrong vs Del la Hoya and Hatton after the Hatto fight i decided not to pick against him ever again so i picked the Cotto and the Clottley fight right.
Vs MAB Vs DLH Vs JMM 1 - because I thought Pac would win and he did not Vs JMM 2 - because I thought Pac would win and he did not The rest I picked him to beat
The only fights where I thought he was a secure favourite, in my eyes, were the Fashang 3K Battery Jorge Solis fights. All of the rest, I thought he was the underdog. Or at least, a pick'em fight. Or a dangerous fight that he could easily lose, if he prepared poorly or fought uninspired.
Ok here goes.. Barrera - I thought he was the ****ing man at featherweight, and that no way a relatively unknown Filipino would trouble him. This content is protected JMM II - I thought JMM would have solved the riddle from the first fight, and not allow it to run so close this time round. I guess I wasn't too off with my prediction here. A very close fight that could have gone either way. I had JMM by a point, but I wouldn't argue with someone if they had it the other way round. Not a robbery in any way shape or form, just a great war. This content is protected Oscar - I was heavily against this fight, and believed it should not have even taken place. The little Pacquiao was in for demolishing from the far bigger Oscar. This content is protected Hatton - I thought Pacquiao would be in for the fight of his life in this one, against a guy who'd been ruling the 140 division for years. This content is protected Cotto - Still questioning his ability to take a full on shot from a powerhouse of a Welterweight, this fight would see Pac get hit flush on the face regularly (unlike the previous two). Cotto was not only bigger and stronger, he was also the best boxer Manny had faced since JMM. Surely he wouldn't let Manny win that easily? This content is protected :think So yeah, I've underestimated Pacquiao a fair few times - in which he's proven me horribly wrong in all of them. However, this won't stop be from predicting against him in the Mayweather fight. This content is protected
I am a bit surprised to see that some people had Barrera as underdog in their first fight and Ledwaba as well (since they didn't mentioned these fights as examples of the contrary). I am also a bit surprised to see that nobody mentioned the second Morales fight. After their first encounter, I honestly thought Morales could beat him again. Before the Mayweather-Mosley fight I was also convinced to pick against Pacquiao again. But I see Roach's point, Mayweather's footwork is worse than it used to be. So I see it as a 50-50 fight.
